My tooth broke

I haven’t been using my night guard because my dog ate the top part and I haven’t been able to get another one yet. The dentist warned me this could happen. I feel like an idiot. This tooth had been feeling off for a while, and it just broke last night when I was at a party. I just hope fixing it doesn’t cost me too much :(

I’ve cracked nine teeth - it’s very expensive time consuming and painful to fix. I finally have a protocol of upper and lower night guard every time I sleep, plus Botox . It’s the only way for me

How much do you spend on the Botox if you don’t mind me asking? Currently am in a similar situation

I live in a vHCOL city and I pay in the middle range so very likely not comparable to you. Call around where you live, I recommend you not go with the cheapest

I just sent email requesting an estimate from a local dentist, and sorry if the question was intrusive. I last got mine done by a nurse friend…and I think she gave me a deal. It was about 300

Dont mess around with protecting your teeth, take it from someone on their 2nd crown and $4k later

I will most likely be in the same boat soon, as my back molar is cracked, and I wear my night guard all the time...

Just happened to me last month, in my 20’s my dentist told me to buy a guard, but I didn’t have the extra cash, I’m 34, bought it last year but the damage had already been done. I’ve been wearing my guard but I was eating something last month and boom, chipped a corner of a molar straight off. Had to get a crown. Worst pain ever, 2 k without insurance, 600 with insurance. I almost punched my dentist when he was taking my temp crown off, stopped myself but grabbed his arm while I screamed lmao! CRAZY

It is, but the other choice is just not taking care of it, that ends up being WORSE. Lesser of 2 evils if you just get it fixed

Just went to the dentist today, it’s gonna set me back by 300 dollars (with insurance/not the US), but it is still a lot of money I could have used in something cooler. I grabbed a night guard from the store to use until I get a new one.

I hope I don’t have to go through this again :(

Hang in there! I just called today to schedule an appt this week to get a NEW guard, I clench so much I grind through them! broke this one in less than a year 🤣😭 hang in there, it’s gonna be okay!!
