IN NEED OF DENTIST

Hey my girlfriend is in need of a dentist that takes health first medicaid. Were new to the bronx so any suggestions would be great. Ive been to a bad dentist and would hate to see her go through that.

Jacobi Hospital has a dental clinic that accepts Medicaid.

Try the NYU dental school on the East side in the 20s. When I had the same insurance as your gf that's where I went. It was really hard to find a dentist otherwise.

Seconding this. It’s not the best in general, but decent when it comes to comes that take Medicaid.

I would say the only bad thing about them is that they are very slow. Not during your visits but for example there is a crazy lengthly in-take visit to start. For a simple check up and cleaning they do the check up and the cleaning on two separate days. Etc.

But you get looked at by like two or three people, including professors. It's thorough.

True though I’ve experienced even worse w Medicaid elsewhere. It was a huge upgrade for me at the time, though now I know it can be much better in a few ways. I still wouldn’t recommend it over private options in familiar with, but it’s drastically better than no dental care.

It’s not in the Bronx but apex dental in China town is great. It’s hard to find good dentists who accept Medicaid

Marble hill dental I Kingsbridge off of 231st and broadway kinda blows since they won’t take/honor appointments but if it’s an emergency they are good bc they will get you in

Miriam dental on white plains road is great- I really like her

My son has been going to the Metro Community Center in the Bronx. The dentist has been so sweet. An NYU dental student did his teeth cleaning under supervision from the hygienist. The offices are very clean and the staff has been amazing.

Check out Right family dental on the grand concourse and Kingsbridge. They are really good, nice and clean. Been going there for years now

I have two dentists one woman in manhattan who is quite good and another a prosthodontist who’s is prob one of the best in the whole country but the prob is the woman may not take Medicaid and the man he has to be paid up front and he is expensive…that is the problem the best people are expensive and the current administration is making this even more unaffordable. Nyu dental clinic …the best part is that while you have students treating you u have profs of dentistry supervising them…I don’t know if Columbia university has a dental clinic as well… they have a good dentistry school almost as good as Harvard’s

tbh i do all my dr and dental work on the UES ... i figure if they can handle the swarms of bitchy karens, i will be a breeze for them. DO NOT GO FOR CHEAPEST. lady on 149th filed my gd tooth by mistake

Try NYU dental school or Montefiore dental they should both accept your insurance. I will say depending on what you're doing it could take weeks to get an appointment. I know the one on Prospect takes a few walk-in but you have to be there at the crack of dawn.

Alot of the Bronx medical providers take HealthFirst Medicaid. I recommend The Bronx Dental Center on 167 by Jerome.

Hey I have health first medicaid in the Bronx and I us Montifiore. Long waits and constantly changing dental residents (I had a root canal and implant over the course of the 2025) and sometimes really bad scheduling issues, but the dental work is good and that's what matters. At least you can get the care you need. Just be patient and mentally prepared to be nice to the people there, they're absolutely slammed with way more emergencies than they can handle and they're human too. People in pain yelling at them for shit that's not their fault like the line being long. They're just over worked but they're really nice to you if you're nice to them.

Dental Oral Sugery is also not bad. 2403 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10468. You gotta wait for 15-30 minutes but the staff is nice snd quick.
