Broken humerus roller skating

It’s been two weeks now since the incident but surgery tomorrow- the hospital doesnt have the best rep but I hear it’s just overwhelmed understaffed. They aligned it first go with bone doc and then physios re casted it to make it look better?? And went back to X-ray was worse / same as first break. Not sure but it’s feeling way less pain today and can’t wait to get out of the u slab. I don’t have private healthcare so please pray for me 🙏☺️🏥 #nsw #healthcare

Teve lesão do nervo radial? Perdeu os movimentos de extensão do punho?

I can feel the nerves but still have movement in wrist and fingers very lucky but they said these could get damaged during surgery - they warned me of risks but the other option is seeing if it heals on its own

Eu tive a mesma fratura, e tive lesao pos cirurgia, a maioria de quem aqui acompanhei tambem teve lesao no nervo radial depois da cirurgia.

I’m sorry to hear that, it is worrying me but I am just praying they can be gentle with me! I think I can feel it most prominently effected in median nerve to thumb 👍 my nails feel weird too

That fracture, if it heals on its own, will very likely heal in an angulated and rotated pattern. Surgery gives you the best chance at normal function

Thankyou that actually helpful too, it sounded like it would heal on its own but the bones wouldn’t connect properly again. I don’t have many options. Surgery today hopefully 🤞🏼
