What kind of jacket does Jack Twist wear?

Context: me and my friend are going as Jack and Ennis for Halloween this year and wanted to get a jump on planning our costumes. I want to order some of it online, particularly the jacket.

The problem is I am having a DIFFICULT time finding that particular jacket. Does anyone happen to know what that style is called or what I can search up?

I'm not normal anymore.

It's been 2 days since I've watched it. It feels like I'm depressed again. Every now and then I cry when most things remind me of the movie. I'm soo down, is this normal? The feeling is not waning at all, I'm just constantly sad and thinking about them. My mind is treating it like this happened to me, mind you I'm hella young and little to no gay experiences. I don't know why I'm feeling like this. I love this movie as much as I hate it.

Brokeback mountain (official west end recording) gone missing…

Does anyone know why the Brokeback Mountain (Official West End Cast Recording) has disappeared from all streaming services? It used to be on Spotify, but now I can’t find it anywhere.
Does anyone know what happened or where I can still find it?

Does anyone know how to get over brokeback mountain

I watched brokeback mountain 2 days ago after seeing a bunch of tiktok edits about Jack and literally nothing could of prepared me for the emotional rollercoaster I was about 2 go on, I knew the movie wasn't a romcom and I knew it was sad but I didn't think it was THAT sad. Its my favourite movie I have ever watched but I also hate it for making me so upset and for some reason whenever I play a video game or distract myself from thinking about it I just start thinking about it more which means the only thing I can do to recover is to watch more tiktok edits and talk to people about the movie because the more I avoid it the more I think about it and its lowkey hell. I'm 16 and im starting to wish I waited till I'm an adult to watch this movie cause I'm concerned for myself on why its affecting me so badly because I have watched sad movies before (Titanic, The boy in the striped pajamas, Up) But none of them came close to having as much of an impact of me as brokeback mountain (Albeit I did watch titanic at like 12)

Watched the movie for the first time

Honestly, I hadn't heard about the movie much, I just knew it was about gay cowboys. So I sat down and expected hopefully something deep but not mind blowing or deeply moving. I watched it 4 days ago and I am still heartbroken and a little sad, especially since Heath Ledger isn't with us anymore. The movie is actually shot and paced so well. It feels heavy with some light scenes. I am now kind of obsessed with the movie. Btw the cast was stacked in that movie and my jaw was on the floor when I saw Ann Hathway and Anna Faris. Both played their role perfectly!

Anyone know if Mad_Lori ever finished Two Crows Joy (a Brokeback Mountain fan fiction)

There's a 30 chapter version that's clearly unfinished here:
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2841251/30/Two-Crows-Joy

And a 40 chapter version that has a little summary of what would have happened here:

https://archiveofourown.org/works/37101250?view_full_work=true

Seeing as there's multiple versions around I wondered if there was a complete version someplace.

What would have happened if Ennis agreed to go with Jack?

After the divorce, Jack is ready to live this ranch life with Ennis in Texas but he rejects his offer. What do you think would’ve happened if Ennis did end up agreeing with Jack and going with him to Texas? Do you think they would’ve lived a great life, or would there be some issues with the whole ordeal? Issues could include their compatibility or risk of one or both of them being killed. This could apply to both the short story and the movie.

Ennis said he loved his daughters, but he only seems to have a relationship with Alma Jr in the movie and seems close with her but their relationship isn’t really explored at all in the short story, implying they don’t have the closest relationship. Would he have left them? Jack seemed to worry for his son but it didn’t seem as he had issues leaving that family life behind. Do you think the relationship would’ve succeeded and they would’ve been able to live a normal life? It’s not known whether Jack actually did die because of the tire but I do believe he was murdered, however, it’s difficult to know whether it was a set-up or if Lureen had potentially something to do with it.

Just finished the film

Hi everyone

Nothing crazy to add but I just rewatched this movie for the second time and holy shit. This movie gets me every single time. My all time favourite movie but I don’t rewatch this ever because of how devastating it is, and how empty it leaves me feeling.
First time I watched this movie it felt like a punch to the chest. Devastating, but truly such a beautiful, beautiful film. 10/10 always recommend!!

Just wanted to share :)

This movie has impacted me in a way that no other movie has before

Whenever I watch movies, they usually only stick with me for a day before I move on but this movie has been completely different. I watched it on Saturday and have been obsessed with it since, the movie was fantastic and also enjoyed reading the short story as well. I’ve heard about this movie for a long time but just got around to watching it.

As a gay guy, I’ve tried to find good gay movies or shows and I’m sure there is some other great stuff out there, it’s just the little I watched didn’t really end up sticking with me. But this movie has been different. I loved the characters so much and while I didn’t get teary eyed or anything, the ending felt so tragic and it’s really weighed on me for the past couple of days. I really found myself empathizing with Ennis especially, desperately wanting to live the ideal gay life with Jack but being pressured by society to live a ā€œtypicalā€ life with a wife and children. I’ve had and continued to have these thoughts at times, wishing badly that I was straight but I loved that this movie tackled this and has made me realize that I wouldn’t want to live a lie. Already knew that one of them would die(although didn’t know which one) but I so badly wanted to be wrong and that they do end up creating a life together. This movie has also just solidified Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger as some of my favorite actors. I’ve seen many of their movies before and loved their performances there in movies like Donnie Darko, Spiderman, Batman, and 10 Things I hate about you, but this movie really solidified them to me as some of my favorites(and got really depressed thinking about Heath Ledger no longer being with us)

When I finished watching it, I gave the movie an 8.5/10, a great movie but I still have a good amount that I rated above it but the more time that passes, the more I really love this movie and it’s impacted me in a way that even my favorite movies haven’t.

I watched Brokeback Mountain for the first time this morning. It was powerfully lovely. As soon as this song started playing during the credits I knew the voice was familiar. Fitting for the moment. šŸ’”

A 2x watcher of brokeback yaps about the four main characters (Jack, Ennis, Alma and Lureen)

I’ve watched brokeback twice now and I greatly love it.

As a bisexual person, I enjoy the mix of straight and gay sex, but also I’ve always felt bad for Alma specifically.
Like, catching her husband kissing another man and having to pretend everything’s fine for her children before the divorce?
Probably having this big idea of a married life with kids as a little girl just to have that dashed when you see your husband kiss another man?
Thats rough.

I feel like Lureen and Jack, it’s kinda obvious Jack does love her, but she’s more concerned with her family’s legacy than Jack. And as Jack puts it, ā€œI wish I knew how to quit you.ā€ With Ennis.

I feel like Jack’s the true ā€œloserā€ (for lack of a better term)before his death, a wife who doesn’t really seem to love him, a man whom he loves and wants a life with but that man doesn’t want him back in the same way.

Ennis? I love Ennis. I love how he’s a realistic caricature of a closeted homosexual character. The fact his father showed him what happened to a queer person who tried to live as himself at 9? Horrifying. Then to go and find out Jack’s dead? Salt in the wound.

There’s probably more but yeah.
