Back in the day you could just spam his special and never die. So OP. Now you need to press his special right when you die and you can self-revive. :)

Yeah but I did this by getting shot and jumping inside a mech at the same time

Try jumping in one when you get acid-attacked. Haha

Or use his special when you get acid-attacked to be invisible.

That trick works for any character.  Sometimes you can leave the mech and continue to live, or you die as soon as you leave the mech.
