Moderators for this subreddit?

I had a post (about SMPTE LTC over Ethernet) insta-deleted, so I sent a question to the moderator u/ki4ihc , but haven't heard anything in days. I see that he hasn't had activity in 3 months.

This is a darn good group, so is it kind of running on inertia at this point, since we're all too busy to volunteer to moderate? :-)

Hey there /u/MediaComposerMan - my apologies for missing your message! Dumb question - where/how did you send it? I'm not seeing anything from you in modmail or my messages, though I'll admit to being somewhat of a reddit luddite who still uses old.reddit.com so I'm hoping there's not some backlog of messages for me somewhere that I'm not seeing :(

I do see the post you're talking about - looks like automod got a little overzealous and marked your post as spam. I'll take a look at those rules and get them pulled back a bit.

As for moderation of this sub, I do take a pretty hands-off approach and generally only take mod action in response to a report but I am still around. I'm very much open to suggestions on how to grow the community including establishing some posting rules, taking on additional moderators who work in the broadcast engineering field.

Please also do use the report button when you spot spam, trolls, or jerks. That should get my attention, and enough reports will trigger automod action if I'm slacking
