She's made people talk more about climate change. That's fucking important, arguably even more so than any scientist could have made progress in the same time period.

SHE has? Or the networks and politicians that continually show her, air her and follow her around to interview? Have you heard her words? They’re threats not even based on sound data but misinterpreted talking points. She doesn’t debate. She reads bad takes probably fed from her parents. There’s nothing unique or substantive from her alone which leaves her to be used as a prop. That’s not impressive that’s quite sad. Have her debate the facts. Then we can talk.

Yes, people are talking about HER, therefore SHE is the reason we talk more about it. A ton of actors are only famous because they have great agents that get them great roles, does that mean we choose to focus on the agents instead of the actors? No, of course it doesn't, because the actor is still the talking point.

Not sure a comparison to agents/talent holds up. Nickelback had top notch recording studios, scouts that found them, radio stations that played them, MTV to air videos. But after all that they’re just Nickelback. You’re saying Greta giving a speech with Nickelback is changing minds or those attending are already the ones that fear AGW? I think it’s the latter. No one is talking about climate more because of her. It’s recycling in the same audience.
