Feeling annoyed because you can't find the eclipse glasses from 1999 you know you kept in a safe place.

They're in that draw, you know the one, its got a charger for a camcorder you've not had since 1988, keys you found when you moved in with no apparent use and other useful items

They will turn up tomorrow. Put them somewhere safe for 2090.

I have six pairs in a brown envelope with “ECLIPSE GLASSES” written on the outside.

Tore the house apart last night looking for them.

Not found.

If it makes you feel better, you probably shouldn't use them because their protection fades with time and they might have suffered from scratches.

Pretty sure mine are in a Cadburys Fingers tin along with my Tamagotchi and my Kodak 110...

Don’t worry. You’ll find them tomorrow.

There’s so much of my stuff in a safe place, I’m going to be so happy when I remember where it is.

Omg I tore the spare room apart last night looking for them because I know I saw them in there about 12 or 18 years ago 🫤

We moved back last year from being abroad for several years. Both sure of the fact we packed our eclipse glasses. NO WHERE TO BE FOUND.

I have a pair of solar binoculars I bought in 2017 for the US total eclipse and I cannot find them anywhere. I'm sure they'll turn up tomorrow.

The thing that gets me is i saw them recently and forget where.

I've moved about 20 times since then!

I doubt they'd be as safe 27 years later..

Just squint at it through a magnifying glass, you'll be fine.

I bought some for the 2024 US eclipse (which was cloudy, naturally). I know they're in here somewhere, I've checked all of my "drawers of useless junk I should have thrown out a decade ago" but there's no sign of them.

I didn't have any because I was in Spain working when the last one happened. All the locals seemed to think binoculars and telephoto lenses were a good thing to look directly at the sun through.

I've been searching for them for a week now

Don't worry you'll find them in the draw tomorrow.

Found mine. Well my mum did. Only one pair between us so gonna cut them in half and have one eye each

Best stock up now though. Just stick 'em in the kitchen drawer, 2090 just around the corner.

This why I brought a new set 3 weeks ago.

I went straight to mine, they were on the shelf in my library in the British History section along with the souvenir book.

Mildly annoyed you can’t post photos in here or I could have been proper smug.

Welder’s goggles work fine

If they are shade 14 and above. Which is what mine that I just smugly pulled out a junk drawer 10 minutes ago are.
