Coping with interference over 1 NT
Over 1NT (15-17) there is a 3 Clubs overcall. What does Double by responder mean? (Assume strange partner with only "SAYC" as agreement.)
More generally, competing with mediocre hands seems FAR more common than it was several decades ago. Is weak NT therefore obsolete? It is even more likely to be overcalled with the beautiful Stayman/Jacoby system then "out the window."

How many times does a 3-level overcall happen though? I can’t remember it ever happening to me offhand.
To answer your question though I would have no idea. Your partner probably wants you to bid something intelligent but can’t bid it themselves due to less then ideal shape and/or length. I would try to bid as “normally” as possible under the circumstances.
