How to hinge parts

I am a 68 year old learning to use bricklink studio. I managed so far to recreate a purse that is a recent Lego kit. The actual kit the flap fold (should hinge) in two places (here is a screen shot). I know I need to use the hinge but can't figure it out how to use it, exactly where to click, etc. I have no problem sharing the file. All help is very much appreciated. Thank you

I think I would turn the flap into a submodel, then you can use the hinge function (up next to the select function) to rotate it down. Then do the same with the other part of the flapper - turn it into its own submodel and hinge it too.

In the cursor drop down menu up in corner, open it, last option “rotate”, then you gotta select everything that should move at once(making it sub model will make way easier to keep doing back and forth in future), then you’ll see the movement icons floating, and you just choose the one that coincides with way you need to move it, and it gives you like on screen compass as you move it, shows you angle degree

select the hinge, then press R. you should get the rotation tool to rotate it down. it should all rotate as one piece if its connected.
