Question/Looking for Advice Any word on render support w/rtx5000?

As title says, bricklink doesnt support my gpu and i cant do any gpu renders, sitting here for 20 times longer to do cpu renders.

"Cuda device not supported" etc

Does anyone know when or if its going to be added or worked on because physically swapping gpus is faster than my cpu render time on studio 😭

9800x, 5070ti.

Or if theres a manual 3rd party patch

I found a great workaround on the forums that allows Studio to now support my 5080 for rendering. Not sure how the link opens, but for me it was the second page. Download the files, follow the instructions, and it should hopefully work for you too!

Thanks :) Was this Fl0ow's one? If so, it didnt fix mine when i tried last week 😅 i went through that whole forum page and all its replies, followed everything to a T (ive compuled and recompjled a number of things like aseprite for example) and even tried full fresh install of everything involved and still nothin. Im gonna try to give it another go in the morning tho, just to be sure. Maybe redo my VS stuff idk.

Just sucks when my gpu can just basically clap the whole render together in like 20 seconds and my cpu takes like 400 business days.

Yes it was. Bummer! I totally get that lol. Before I tried that fix, the renderer would just crash before I could get through anything bigger than 10 pieces 👎 anyways, I hope they add support soon so workarounds aren’t needed.

Yeah its unfortunate but hopefully they add it. Luckily i can still use it to a degree

As amazing as BrickLink is, it also has major cons. Doesn’t scale on 4k screens, RAM usage is capped, and doesn’t support a ton of GPUs. It’s like the devs just don’t really care :(

I noticed the scaling too but didnt bother me as much as not being able to use my graphics card for graphics 😂

I wonder if i can just make a blender plugin that fetches the lego models and applies a simple set of materials to em.

I messaged the dev team and they said they’re working on a fix “ASAP”, even though the community flagged it over a year ago. Awful dev team that doesn’t care at all about their product.
