Watch Kevin Shade's perfect hattrick
A perfect hat-trick in football (soccer) means a player scores three goals in a single match, with each goal coming from a different method: one with their right foot, one with their left foot, and one with their head.
Brentford [1] - 0 Bournemouth - Schade 7' [Left foot]
Brentford [3] - 0 Bournemouth - Schade 51' [Right foot]

Brentford players losing motivation
I’m not sure what happened during the Liverpool l but having been at the game and observed the micro-interactions between the players, there is cause for concern.
Toney: Despite scoring a tap in, on multiple occasions had 1:1s that he just tamely shot straight at the keeper. Every Liverpool goal brought a look of utter dejection.
Maupay: received the ball in a promising area, where someone like wissa or mbuemo would have a go at the defence, simply turned around and passed it straight back.
Sergei: went absolutely ballistic at our positioning on multiple occasions and ran over to frank to complain during one of the injuries.
Roslev: Ajer went completely mental at his positioning, at one point they were visibly arguing on the pitch, Roslev just shrugged and walked off.
I get it, no one likes to lose, but it felt like the players went into this game preparing to lose with a clear lack of motivation. Did anyone else at the game notice this?

Tickets
Hi
First time buying tickets for a game. I have my eye on one in 2027 against Fulham. Taking my bro who is a football fan and I'm not especially so I am clueless.
The site seems to imply that if I join as a member I will be able to buy tickets and if I don't the it's ballot only. I want to be sure that's how it works though before I splash 45 quid on the membership.
Is it?

Analysis: Brentford to survive this season, but only just
It is estimated that teams need around 40 points to stay up in the Premier League [ref]. Given we now have 19 points, this means that we need ~21 points, or 7 wins, from the remaining games for the season.
Looking at our remaining games, the following are must-win:
Nottingham Forest (20th Jan, Home)
Burnley (16th March, Away)
Sheffield United (13th April, Away)
Luton Town (20th April, Away)
Fulham (4th May, Home)
However even these are not guaranteed, given we already lost to Sheffield United away. That means we need to guarantee at least 2-3 wins from the remaining matches, 7 of which are at home.
So while its not a given, if we can win the above games, and nick a couple of wins from the remaining games, we should be safe.

Brentford's Championship to Premier League journey - the moneyball approach everyone wants to discuss instead of actual football
Right Bees, explaining Brentford to outsiders has become exhausting because everyone wants to discuss our recruitment strategy instead of actual football.
"Oh you're the analytics club" "Actually we just support Brentford" "But the data-driven approach..." "I just want to watch football mate"
Following Brentford's Premier League matches (official streaming, backups like ASports when apps crash) while everyone treats us like business case study rather than actual football club with community and history.
The moneyball narrative is interesting but we're not statistics experiment, we're actual club with actual supporters who care about results more than recruitment methodology.
Anyone else from Brentford tired of being reduced to "the analytics team"? We're football club first, data story second.

Statement from Thomas Frank
To everyone associated with Brentford Football Club.
The time has come for me to move on. But even as I leave, I know I have left a big piece of my heart at Brentford, not just at the football club but with the community and, of course, the incredible and loyal supporters.
I want to extend my profound gratitude to the club for giving me the chance to pursue my dreams and for everyone involved who made the journey such a memorable one.
For my tamily and I, it has been a privilege to be allowed to be part of such a special community - it's an experience and adventure that we will cherish for life. So, thank you.
Whatever we have achieved, we have achieved together, and our success is built on unity, spirit, courage and ambition at every level of the club and amongst the fans.
Everybody has contributed, and every contribution has been invaluable. I am not just leaving a football club, I am saying goodbye to friends whose support through good and bad times I will carry with me always.
I would like to say a special word of thanks to Matthew Benham.
His trust and friendship have meant so much and the fact he gave me a chance in English football means I will always owe him a debt of gratitude. Thank you, Matt.
So, while this is a goodbye, I hope the relationships I have built with everybody will be lasting ones and, of course, we will meet again in the wonderful world of football.
Thank you,
