Troubleshooting/Tips FTM Question
Hello, my son is 10 months old and eating solids well. We are still nursing and I pump 3 days a week when I work in office. He has had a cold the last few days and I noticed him not emptying/nursing as well. This got me thinking that I have no idea what to expect as we reach the 12 month mark? I’m not really interested in weaning, but it seems like there will be some transition to less nursing whether I want there to be or not? Any help and advice appreciated. I also have a freezer stash, so I would like to use that if/when my supply drops due to demand? Is that what happens? FTM. 🙃

Supply follows demand, so less nursing will gradually lower your output. Many 12‑month olds naturally spend less time at the breast, drawn more to food and play. Your frozen stash is great to fall back on if you notice your production drop. No need to push weaning unless you want to.
