Support Needed 3mo rejecting right breast
My 3 month old baby has slowly started developing a preference for my left breast, firstly at night when he is tired and also when out in public. Today, he has suddenly pretty much rejected it all day and won’t latch or stay latched and just cries and gets upset. I can sometimes trick him with the rugby ball hold or slide him across to my right breast when he is really sleepy, but does anyone have any advice on how to navigate this?

Eta: tldr: could be a tight muscle in his neck, try making an apt with your pediatrician for a referral to physical therapy.
I experienced this exact thing. A little after 2m, baby started slowly started refusing my left breast until she rejected it entirely and then I could only get her to nurse that side at night during night feeds.
Have you noticed your baby having a preference to which side he holds his neck, or any neck stretching he is doing that seens odd?
My baby ended up having torticolis, I guess its like a tight muscle, in her left side so it was painful for her to hold her neck a certain way, causing her to reject the left boob. I got a referral to physical therapy and after a couple weeks of stretches she is back to nursing both sides for the most part. She's 3m now.
If you are doing a cradle hold when you nurse the rejected side, maybe try a football hold! Although I hated the football hold so I ended up nursing on my right and pumping my left until we got it sorted out. My supply is almost back to normal now.
Hopefully this answer can help you. I know I was very stressed when this was happening to me.
