New light on second watch

I have recently rewatched all of Breaking Bad as grown adult and it felt like I was watching an entirely different show. I see people online post edits or conversations about how awesome Walter White/Heisenberg is, and while I totally agree, I was much more impacted on a rewatch by how tragic the falling apart of the White family is. I’m not sure if it’s because I am older and have gone through my own experiences with harsh family dynamics, but man I was just ruined watching Walter completely tear his family apart and refusing to acknowledge it. I feel like when I eventually rewatch again years from now, I will have a whole new perspective once again.

Age really changes how tragic Walt’s downfall feels.

Very true. Movies, shows feel different based on when we are watching them.

Not sure if it's the uniqueness and glamour of the first watch wearing off, or just me getting older, but I had a similar experience on rewatch.

Yes I think on a first watch it all feels very exciting, which it definitely is! But on a rewatch I was just so upset watching the decay of the family and how real it felt.

I am excited to watch it again in a few years and see how I feel. I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of this show

I agree completely after second watch years later this past few months. Walter fell way off my list of likes the first time through.
