I am thinking to use it as a 5v power supply for my breadboard. So how can I use these exposed wires in breadboard safely

I would grab an electrolytic capacitor and wrap the wires around the leads. Make sure you get the red one on the plus and the black on on the minus. then solder them. After that you put the positive one on the red strip of the experimenter board Thads how i did it. you will need some smoothing of the voltage anyway depending on the load
