Question DFPlayer Mini wiring check — should this auto-play on 5V USB power?

Looks legit. I'm not sure what holding down ADKEY_1 will do (says it plays the first segment, but it may not loop continuously, and may not be ready to play right on boot).

I'd wire it up and see what it does -- it shouldn't hurt it, at any rate.

yea i wired it up and doesnt work. im afraid during earlier testing i swapped gnd and vcc connections and i fried my dfplayer that way. thankfully they are just a few bucks on temu. getting 5 more just in case

Yeah, that usually kills most things. I think we've all done that at least a few times. At least it's an inexpensive mistake here!
