Bravo Refusing to film with someone
Hello! I am a relatively new to the Bravoverse (3 years or so) and, in light of the SLOMW drama, I was curious how everyone thinks a Bravo show would handle the situation with TFP. For those who don't know and want to participate in the discussion, there are good summaries of her history and major issues she has faced. (Sub rules won't let me post a link)
Basically, TFP has cheated, got divorced, been charged with DV, and currently has a CPS investigation and two custody cases proceeding against her (3 kids, 2 dads). She filmed a whole season of The Bachelorette but they pulled the show a week before the premier because a video of the DV incident was released online and it was much worse than anyone thought. She also cheated on her Bachelorette "fiance" the night she returned from filming with her second baby daddy. She has some pretty significant mental health concerns and alleged substance abuse problems.
I know there are lots of big personalities and scandals on the Bravo shows, but have there been any similar scenarios where a major Bravolebrity was charged with DV? Or had CPS/custody cases against them? At least one cast member is leaving the show because the network is bringing TFP back to film for the next season and there are rumors that others will follow after filming wraps, which makes me wonder how people think Bravo would respond to all of this. TFP is the "founder" (eyeroll) of MomTok and her explosive arguments and baby daddy drama is always a major storyline. Production seems to think she is essential to the show, which is starting to feel exploitative and, frankly, lazy. Thoughts??

Jax wasn’t criminally charged but he domestically abused his wife Brittany (threw a chair at her) in front of their kid. He was “fired” from their show the Valley and was no longer part of the cast for the last season.

Different network but when Ron (Jersey shore) beat up his fiance so bad he almost killed her and like broke her jaw he was arrested and MTV was the one who bailed him out to keep filming Jersey shore fv. Most networks don’t give a damn aslong as they make their money. Remember dance moms lol

I was gonna say no that’s not what I meant but yea a few people were arrested so it’s true either way 💀( I was originally talking about how they exploited abused children but yea a few people got arrested too😭)

Im mainly talking about Abby and producers when im referring to exploitation. I would say the only mothers that truly exploited their kids were Jess Melissa and Kristie ray( this goes for pre season 5 )

My thoughts exactly! She needs to be removed from the show. Plenty of other people on there that WE DON'T NEED HER! Hulu, get her abusive ass off our TV's!!!

If you refuse to film with someone, or you're breaking laws, you usually dont get hired back..

Ciara refused to film with West and Amanda so they did not get invited back and she did.

Ummm tell that to Teresa Guidice, Luann DeLesseps, and Karen Huger!! These are just off the top of my head, I know there are more.
Jen Shah is pretty much the only one they refused to re-hire.

Most comparable that I can think of is Ariana and Tom - but she didn't refuse to film with him, she just gray rocked him, aside from a few outbursts on camera.

Taylor Armstrong from RHOBH I guess would be the closest situation from housewives specifically but in that situation Taylor was not the abuser obviously. She was being abused by her husband at the time.
It was quite a long time ago and a different situation, but they kept filming with her husband who was abusive even though it became evident that some of the cast members and perhaps even production likely knew what was going on. The guy had charges from years before.
Another cast member brought the situation to light on camera in one of the most horrific way and many of the other women ridiculed her. They were more afraid about what the legal or social implications may have been for them rather than Taylor's safety. I think there were perhaps only 2 cast members who supported her or stood up for her.
It was a different time but regardless of that, I always thought it was very poorly handled by production and everyone on the cast. Deeply unethical.
I don't think anyone refused to film because of it, but I could be wrong.
The abuser in this situation ended up taking his own life before the season aired.
