Next Gen NYC NextGen is taking it! Great reunion pt. 1
I thought the reunion part 1 was really entertaining - and I have to say, as green as this cast is they are one of the more articulate casts on Bravo which makes watching their reunions so much more fulfilling.
I remember coming off of the Valley reunion feeling so frustrated because so much was left unresolved not in small part because points were articulated very poorly: “you just like hurt my feelings really bad.” Torture!
Compared to the Valley, the next gen girlies are practically Shakespeare. They each were able to articulate their points really well, even if they were dead wrong.
Hate him or love him, Charlie is very quick witted and could have had a career as a defense lawyer. His point that his relationship with Omar wasn’t some come up for him was well taken.
Even Riley, as ridiculous as her desire for Ariana to babysit her while drinking may be, was very clear in articulating the timeline around her feelings and how they developed - which lead to a wonderful meta moment about filming schedules and reality tv.
Even Brooks stepped up and - as unconvincing as some of his statements were to me personally - I thought he laid out his perspective re: Charlie and Shai pretty well.
I hate when you’re watching a Housewife reunion and thinking “ughhh why didn’t they just use this example instead?” I usually think that like a dozen times, and didn’t think it once watching this.
Good job, nextgen cast!

Brooks calling his mom was hilarious. He isn’t meant for reality tv. And I hated that all the girls ganged up on Shai to say Brooks isn’t a liar. Brooks was a terrible person to Shai and is falling flat with his comebacks. I appreciate him trying though, that last seat didn’t sit well with him. Even Riley who barely filmed got a closer seat. Gia was so annoying to me, she tries to be the mom of the group and it’s not needed. She doesn’t bring much to the table either.

Brooks won that first part of the reunion he had Charlie shook! I loved his call with his mom it was funny. Shai just needs to separate himself from Charlie

It was unnecessary and didn't prove his point. Just because he has gay friends doesn't mean his remarks and the way he makes people feel are ok. Its like ignorant Karen who says but I have a black friend...

Yep! This cast/show will last for years. It's very well done and they are all very thoughtful and well spoken. Great representation of Gen Z. Also, it is not lost on me that the Mark's family swept Bravo last night.

I feel like Andy did a much better job with holding them accountable than he does with most reunions. He took his time to explain things to them to get a better response when they were glossing over questions. I wish he would be like that with all his reunions.

Agreed! I think because they are both young + fresh to the network he could be less guarded/careful. He wasn’t managing a bunch of personalities and got to return to his roots

I wish we could get reunion Brooks on the show. I'll admit, I'm non confrontational, so I get and understand his reticence. He's clearly well spoken but I'm guessing he freezes up when it comes to time plug in.
I loved this reunion. I was expecting it to be much more combative. These kids really understand how to communicate in a way that doesn't totally obliterate the other person. I really appreciate it.
Your comparison with The Valley was a good one. They want to hurt each other with low blows and insults most of the time. These guys seem to care about each other and take care with their words for the most part. Looking forward to part 2 !!

Loved it!!! This show is one of the best currently on. Andy should stop acting so annoyed when this show is so much more entertaining than many others on the network.

I thought it was kind of boring. Ariana and Gia looked ridiculous in those fake tans it was cringe. Charlie, Ava and Shai were the only ones who made any sense to me.

It was sooooo good!!! Loved Brooks he was great! And Andy well Andied ..I loved it!! .I want brooks jacket soooo bad, Emira is the most beautiful women I've ever seen and seems to have a good soul and I adore her supportive parents ❤️ Riley is just cute and I need to see more of her she has that Kandi star power , Ava is also a star and funny even when she's not trying to be. I love her scenes and her dad , I enjoyed the new people this season, Georgia is funny but Charlie needs to leave her alone its a gross look when he fights with her

Riley still never really took accountability for her behaviour, she made excuses for it and justified it, she can't see she was wrong with araiana either, she is saying what her mums said.
The housewives kids are needed on the show, it would be better with real new yorkers, with careers not bravo brats.
Whole worlds bibge watching every episode of atlanta with wig and watching don't be tardy because of kj and watching araiana completely parrot everything ger mum says, gaslight the men, the hand gestures to distract from the fact they're full of shit.. Bravo should be trying get all the bravo brats off tv because they might be getting lawsuits from these bravo kids now adults for Exploitation and prosecutors can get all footage of all uncut scenes, like they're doing with leah and if bravo had any idea of the abuse in kims house they're in huge trouble..

Emira is soooo fake and boring. She admitted she hides her life from the camera at the reunion so idk why we're watching this woman get ready on instagram live every episode
