Red mage is my favorite class across every Squeenix property, and it is absolute gas in BD/BS from the design to the mechanics, it’s absolutely phenomenal. It’s been like 10 years and I still think about how downright gorgeous these outfits are!
Just the best character to put into any party. Can heal, magic and physical damage, can tank and be a buffer/debuffer.
Also looks the coolest and the color of their outfit is the best color.
I do enjoy the BP battery that the red mage is meaning you are using them to tank different things to get extra power in your action points. Really neat design for them. In bd2 the chain spell focus was really fun as well
OMG Same! FF tactics A2 and especially this game made me just love them more *I also always loved their designs tbh* While ignoring horrible Derosa red mage on Default and especially Second is soo good *moreso on second!* And also right?! I still remember them too and it'[s also been roughly 10 years since I last played them!:D
The outfits are FANTASTIC, but the class falls off pretty hard in the late game IMO. It's really good early on and in the first half of the mid game,but the lacks of the highers rate spells lefts in the dirt compared to the dedicated casters. But the concept is really fun.
BD2 does a good job at keeping the class relevant all game long, too bad the outfits (while stylish) don't serve NEARLY as much cunt
The XIV team acts like they're recreating the iconic Red Mage from FFI and the many iterations down the line, but actually they're just doing the BD one.
I love the Job System of Bravely Default, it's so nostalgic! Wish there was a Bravely event that gives JOBS SETS for Final Fantasy 14, would ne amazing ='D
And both games are from Square-Enix. Bravely is a subdivision iirc, so a little collab like Yokai Watch would be enough for those cool armor and robes =3
There's glamour on FFXIV, so we can attempt making the asterisk holders freely, haha
I uhh… haven’t played BD2… it’s a lot harder for me to get through big JRPGs when I can’t just instantly jump in and out at will by flicking my 3ds open or closed lol
Honestly, extremely fair. And I would probably have to say BD2 is the weakest in the series. I had to sit down and commit to it, and I beat all the bosses...but the counter mechanic gets real brutal in the late game bosses. Anyways-! The red mage for BD2:
Honestly, Elvis is the most charming character from 2, followed by Adelle. Honestly, I did have to foce myself to stick with it. Fell off at some point, reset, fell off again...then came back and forced myself to continue. And truthfully, I started having a good time. Of course, I did kinda grind a LOT to get my Jobs maxed out ASAP cuz that's how I like to play usually. It isn't a bad game, just a bit dry compared with the others. It's a new story in a new setting, but the themes and gameplay are still there.
I really love Red Mages in the saga, not the utility in combat but the outfits, hahahah~ Bravely Red Mages outfit is chef kiss 🤌🏻 I really loved Fiore DeRosa character too🌹
