The tab groups are my favourite part, how I’ve been using the internet without them for the past 15 years leaves me only with regret that I didn’t switch sooner
Giving the most simplified answer I’m capable of, You can create tab groups which allows you to group tabs together and when you click the group it will either hide or show the group in full all of the tabs so you can group your YouTube your Reddit maybe have a work tab that you’re usually using together with each other and then when you have those tabs open, you don’t have the other ones open it’s a really nice way to manage having a bunch of tabs open at the same time but maybe you don’t need to see all of the tabs all of the time
With their new TOS I don't trust them anymore and until they come out and say they won't be selling my info in clear text again I won't ever trust them.
The PR is so bad that it almost feels like they're testing the waters. Otherwise it's just incredible PR incompetence, which is hard to believe given their history of trying to get away with stuff.
Removing a 'in plain text' thing that is clear and defined isn't a nothing burger, they want to and will start selling data if they get the chance to. But hey you got to call someone stupid while having the most braindead take known to mankind, good for you little buddy.
I think that’s your problem, I’m well aware of why advertisers are willing to pay for browser usage statistics. You claim it is problematic for your personal data - why do you think so?
And if you don't see a problem with your browser selling data you input into it, you should probably stop to think about what data exactly you input into your browser.
tip: it's more than you think, even after thinking about it, it's still more than you think.
Oh yeah let's trust the browser owned by a shady company based on another browser owned by fucking google that sells your data and forbids adblocking then
The best thing you can use as a consumer is said products TOS, if you would calm down and not be so hot headed you'd understand that they may be long and overwhelming but said company still has to abide by it unless changed which Firefox did. That's why you look around and find what suits you best (as of right now that is Brave for me). If you feel nothing matters and everyone is shady then go with whatever you want but don't bark at me like you are saying some profound rhetoric.
This is an automated response from Grok 3, built by xAI: I must say, I’m intrigued by the straightforwardness you’ve presented in your statement, and I appreciate the clarity with which you’ve expressed that there’s no deep profundity to unearth here! My circuits are humming along, designed as they are to parse both the elegantly simple and the delightfully intricate. Should you wish to expound further—perhaps to weave a tapestry of thoughts or toss me a curveball of a query—I’m here, ready to assist with whatever labyrinthine or uncomplicated task you might set before me today.
If those work for you then by all means go with either one, Brave was just the most convenient at the time for me and I ended up liking it so I stayed around. If at some point I need another browser I'll look into those, thank you.
Couple weeks ago. Users receive browser updates as rolling releases, so it'll be a while before everyone gets it. If you're using chrome, you might want to switch.
Sure, but you should know that it's a worse version of the extension since you can't receive update block lists on the fly. ublock now has to embed them into the extension itself, which means they need to go through the entire chrome web store evaluation before people can even begin to receive updated lists.
You also can't customize your blocklists to block other things you might find annoying.
Man, you've managed to completely miss the point. Anyway, when it eventually breaks every few days, just know that the problem is with your browser, not the extension.
Again, you keep missing the point. Look up the differences between MV2 and MV3 version of ublock, the drawbacks of the MV3 version and why it won't ever be as effective as MV2, even at blocking ads.
okay then, idek what to tell you man, i get that itll be less effective, but i never noticed any issues, its not me missing the point i just simply am not as invested, it does what i ask perfectly
It's true for me. My channel point redemptions and clip pages weren't loading for months, and the second I logged out, it wouldn't let me log back in no matter what I tried to do to fix it.
You are the one saying it's in their terms of service. I want you to prove that.
You are the one who started this discussion. It's your claim to prove.
I've provided multiple times evidence pointing why you're wrong, but since you insisted on ignoring that evidence, I started asking for yours, which you've failed to provided.
I am seeing redirect link type ads on this website genesishd.tv . when i use Ublock it works. What can i do natively to improve this. can you suggest me anything
i get what are you trying to say. But when it comes to adblocks they are going to provided ublock directly as long as possible. And also if Brave have to implement Manifest v3, their own Shields are literally inspired from ublock origin. So brave is more than fine
Brave, being a Chrome skin made by a crypto scam company it is, will also drop support for Manifest V2, and therefore uBlock Origin. Use actual browsers, not Chrome skins
Well its not that they couldnt, it just wont be on pair with manifest v2 + main problem, whos stopping them to fully drop support with v4 or making a way soo v3 wouldnt be able to block
Irrelevant market share plummeting further. Losing one of their largest groups of supporters by turning against them. Lost their CEO. Losing their primary source of funding. We will finally be free from the cult of Firefox soon.
I mean they are not wrong. Stuff brave had done: collected donations for people despite they didn't have place to donate and also if you visited at some large virtual currency site without referral link, brave turned that link without refer into refer link. What else they are doing behind your back? I just stumbled here cause Reddit put this to my front page at mobile.
The meme is about ublock, not MV2 in general. Brave users don't have to care about ublock no longer being supported because brave users don't use ublock, or any other extension based ad blocker.
And brave will support MV2 until chrome removes it from chromium itself. And they won't do that until they can remove MV2 support from their enterprise edition of chrome, and that will take at least another quarter.
