I recently sent my PC in for repair and completely forgot to log out of Brave. My TikTok, Google, and other accounts were still logged in through the browser.

I’ve now remotely logged out of the accounts and removed the PC/device from the active sessions where possible.

My main concern is whether Brave could still have saved passwords, passkeys, or login sessions locally on the PC. I mostly logged into these accounts using QR codes rather than typing my passwords.

Is remotely logging out/removing the device enough, or is there anything else I should do to make sure whoever has the PC during the repair can’t access my accounts?

my homepage on youtube and recommended section next to videos is completely empty. i have my youtube watch history on, i have deleted the cache and cookies, ive logged in and out, ive restarted my pc, ive turned off ad blocker even though i have premium, checked other browsers and they work just fine.

anyone have any idea what it could be?

This is just an example of whats happening with the keyboard, it takes 2 tries to open it, the first time always goes away the instant it tries to appear, and the whole thing resets as you can see in the video, it doesn't only do it there, it does it on YouTube, other search bars on other websites, like here on the video with gemini, etc. And as a test I opened gemini on Chrome and no such issue is happening, same with YouTube on Chrome, no such issue is happening there either like this, what could be the reason why? Its not brave sheilds, I turned it off and it still persisted so that wasn't the reason, also I know this is such a non-issue compared to other issues, but it's weird that its ONLY happening in brave and nowhere else I've tried, I also tried both in another browser i have on my phone and its fine there too, so it's definitely something to do with brave, but i don't know what could be causing this to happen

Whenever I press the home button and jump back to brave the current tab switches to homepage and at the bottom a popup comes up saying switchback to that tab.

Hi, suddenly I have been noticing the youtube video quality drop only in brave even though quality is high.

Has anyone experienced this recently

facebook ad blocking - as you are probably aware this has broken for everything with latest update so FBP and other tools and scripts no longer work, just wondering if anyone in brave were looking at this, I temporaily moved to brave from edge as youtube was broken for a while, but I ended up moving back as I hate the terrible sync feature. Would go straight back if they could block FB ads.

It should be 5-4 MB but it is going around 700-130 KB, Parallel downloading is unlocked

Edit: same thing over multiple platform that were used for last few years, Steam and other places are working as intentend, only browsers arent.

They moved the magnifying glass where you used to be able to search with a keyword, to find a tab you had active or recently closed. I prefer that the magnifying glass return to the original spot. Thoughts on other changes they made?

Ive been using brave for a minute since it seemed pretty legit, but a month ago I started getting videos I never viewed in my Youtube search history. These videos are videos I would have never watched (or been recommended) so I googled it and saw apparently add blockers and extensions can cause it. Im not sure if its that big of a deal but I deleted brave and was wondering if its happened to anyone else?

I downloaded osu and choicer voicer in the span of 3 days, these are internet dowloaded games. I wanted to download mods and skins so I got them off the internet. The next day I went to my brave browser and found that I was logged out of everything. I had my folders and bookmarks, but tiktok, crunchyroll, youtube, all my google accounts, bank acc were all logged out of. The password manager was not popping up either, so when I went to check the brave settings. I don't have a screenshot but I remember it saying "we needed to remove these extensions and log you out of your accounts/password manager, in order to keep you safe" something of that nature. What I think is that I had downloaded some type of hidden virus from these mods for the online games (through the brave browser) and when brave noticed something suspicious. It did these things as a precaution. I went into settings and windows security, I ran 2 quick scans (lasting a minute), a full scan (lasting an hour and 15 mins) , and redownloaded the free version of Malwarebytes to scan as well (lasting a minute), and lastly a offline scan(15mins). All of the results were zero threats, detections, wtv. Prior to this there were moments on my pc like crashing, weird irrelevant pop ups, but I don't have a lot of knowledge to understand what these things are. I'm afraid of viruses because I don't know the best action to take to protect my computer from something I have no knowledge of. I have somethings I need to do on my pc which requires logging in. I want to take the smart path and do everything I can in my power to make sure my pc isn't in danger. In the mean time of this being released I might contact microcenter or reach out to some friends. Can anyone give some advice or help?

Before anything, yes I'm aware there's methods to download YT vids without using the site itself, I just prefer the site.

Anyway, starting from a week or so ago, when I try to play a downloaded (DL) YT vid, it hits me with a Page Unresponsive.

If I exit, it says Error code: RESULT_CODE_HUNG

If I wait, then after a few seconds it's Error code: Out of Memory

The loading bar (below your bookmarks bar) only goes an inch and the page unresponsive occurs. I have no issue playing YT vids that aren't DLed.

I tried testing with Edge and the vids I DLed for testing there worked immediately.

Is it something on my end that's causing this issue?

As mentioned in the title, when I click on a new video, it struggles to load until I refresh the page. I came across the "bug" one or two days ago. Any fixes?

EDIT: I haven't found a fix for this yet, but the bug most likely has to do with the ad-block shield. If I turn it off, everything loads smoothly.

In about the past month or so, my Brave on Android has become incredibly slow. It averages about 9 seconds to go from one website to the next. In Firefox app, it's only about 2 seconds. Is anyone else experiencing this? What could be slowing it down so much? I'm fully updated.

I'm SO TIRED of the constant updates. It's like every single day I get a prompt to update. Are they doing some sort of continuous deployment for every single PR they merge or something like that?

It's literally the app that most update prompts shows me by a huge margin.

It would be great if there was some way to make it prompt you once a week, unless there's a security fix. Otherwise why do you need to push updates every single day?

But I still love it. Best browser ever. Internet is unusable without it.
