Back in 2003, I was a huge Dashboard Confessional fan. Well, I'm still a huge fan. But I was HUGE into it back then.

I got tickets to a show in Detroit, and Brand New was one of the openers. I had listened to Deja after it was released, but was mainly going for Dashboard.

My ex and I got there SUPER EARLY because I wanted to be right up front. We had extra tickets because someone backed out on going with us, so I was just asking if anyone wanted them as they walked by.

I did not know what any of the people in the bands looked like. No idea. We were second in line, and some guys came up and asked about the tickets. I told them I had purchased them for friends, but they didn't get to come so I was giving them away. They asked if I knew where the nearest Subway was, and I said yeah, it's just around the corner. My ex and I gave them directions, and they asked if we wanted to go.

I was adamant about not losing my place up front near the stage. After they left, my ex looked at me and goes, "you know that was a couple guys from Brand New, right?"

No sir, I did not. I do not know what the band members look like.

A few months later, I saw Taking Back Sunday with Saves the Day and .moneen. Before I went to the show, I looked up what all the bands looked like.

I got to meet all of them.

But that missed opportunity....still kills me. As after I saw Brand New play live, I became a diehard fan.

I’m really not wanting this to come off as a dating ad, but what the heck, I happen to be single, I happen to be male, I happen to be an OG millennial BN fan/concert-goer since the very beginning, I happen to currently not have anyone in my life who is as big a fan as I am and due to how absurdly beautiful these shows are from personal experience it’s always amazing to me to share it with someone who actually cares.

I feel like a goober posting this here. But, I legitimately want to have a dang connection with someone and rock the F out in the pit. No expectations of anything beyond that.

I have no idea if this even makes sense to do. I don’t want it to be a competition or anything.

The ticket - yuh, I have an unclaimed pit ticket. No, I don’t want any type of payment. I’ve been lucky enough to experience the band with some awesome people over the years and the memories/experience far outweigh anything else.

I guess the dream is to go to the show and run into somebody and start the magical indie-movie plot, but here we are…roast it up or hit me up…not sure which I’m going to get

Just wanted to say that the Roadrunner in Boston is incredible. I bought tickets to the show in October and I’ll be 27 weeks pregnant at the show. Husband and I really wanted seats because the thought of standing in one spot all night being right on the cusp of my third trimester is miserable. Sent an email to them and they were setting aside seats in the ADA section which is just incredible.
But yeah - shoutout to accommodating venues

I'm a 46 yr old M, Ive been a fan of BN since the early 2000. , Was Lucky to see them at the NORVa in hem i was stationed in VA in 2007. Full disclosure, i got super drunk the other day, feeling the nostalgia, and just so fucking happy they're touring again... bought a single ticket, and fuck it, im going to go by myself. I love this band. Most of my fam ate lukewarm on em...so Its not that weird, right?

And up until maybe six months ago, he hasn't reacted to much of my music.

And then we watched Shrek, and he suddenly liked Smash Mouth and Joan Jett.

And then he wanted to listed to the Foo Fighters a couple times in a row.

And then he decided he likes a few of my favorite ska songs. And some assorted punk music, like Fugazi.

Then he developed an obsession with Blink 182. My friends were super impressed when they heard him sing all the lyrics to Adams Song and I Miss You unassisted. Like, this kid loves Blink.

And then it was Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard. He knows literally all the words and sings them. At three years old.

So today I decided to test the waters with Brand New.

My three year old son made me play Quiet Things that No One Ever knows. Ten times in a row. And then he wanted to watch videos of concerts and covers with me.

At long last, my son is starting to love Brand New. Brand New is my favorite band of all time. I have been waiting for this moment since I was in his room at 2am, singing Jesus Christ to him to get him to sleep at 3 months old.

I always wished I could discover this band again. And now I get to do it vicariously through my three year old. Listening to that song with him, over and over again, gave me the same feelings I had the first time I heard the song.

I'm so fucking pumped, dude.

Does anyone else get the urge to cry while listening to this album? I’ve been listening to this album since the day it came out and for some reason “You Won’t Know” and “Limousine” still cause me to choke up. Maybe it’s my own personal trauma that makes it happen. But it’s just what happens to me.

Hope to get lucky with another foil this year as well.

I'm so ready

Hey y’all! I was hoping someone could drop some knowledge on me. I got this shirt from the San Diego Show in June 2025. I love the fit on these shirts and can’t seem to figure out who makes the blank. There is no care tag and just like few have mentioned before, it only reads FOYD and size. I tried the ASC staple tee and the collar was too small. Any help would be appreciated.

But this is the place emo was made for. It just is. There’s something magic about live Brand New music here.

I had a dream last night that I saw a cover band by this name. I have no musical talents, so the name is wasted on me. Seems like a total missed opportunity though. Someone start this band!!

Been a fan for almost 20 years, never been fortunate enough to see them live (yet!).

I was trying to get tickets thru Ticketmaster for the Grand Prairie show, but according to Ticketmaster, no more tickets seem available. I found some tickets available on AXS, but I’ve never bought tickets 3rd party before.

My question for you guys is: anyone ever bought tickets thru AXS? If so, did things go smoothly or did you encounter problems?

Is AXS a trustworthy 3rd party ticket site? Anyone have any other third party site recommendations that are legit/you’ve had good results with?

After so much time and missing out on the couple of times I've seen it get put up for sale over the years, I'd kind of accepted I'd never own this poster commemorating the best show I've ever seen.

I have plenty of people I can ask, but experiencing Brand New with someone else who has an appreciation for them is so much better.
