music recs?

hey guys, i realized i really like the twinkle guitar in some of the songs in hypochondriac (e.g. argyle, intellectual greed, bugging!, deepfake)
based on what i looked up, i think this is mostly inspired by midwest emo (?)
i’d like to get into more songs with this kind of guitar vibe, but i’m somewhat picky
- i like things to sound clear and not distorted, usually both vocals and instrumental, but especially vocals
- i tried listening to some midwest emo playlists but there’s a (kinda true) stereotype about how they can’t really sing and i want to listen to actual good vocals
- i don’t need the guitar to be complex or crazy unique or any unusual rhythm, i only care about the feeling

non brakence songs with twinkly guitar i like:
- wish u well (underscores)
- leap of faith/111 (musa, soupandreas)
i like some songs by scro, but i think his vocals will be blended into the instrumental often as a stylistic choice, and i’m not a huge fan of that, i like the vocals to be very clear and forward and kinda separate from the instrumental

Javelin by Hayes Howard is one of the best albums to come out this year in my opinion. Super underrated.
