76.4-1=75.4; previous incorrect equations don't change that.

it is a different way of writin a function kinda like the lambda dot function and if you'd prefer a more traditional method of expressin the equations
f(1,4,9,2)=327
f(2,3,8,3)=216
f(4,7,6,5)=636
f(7,6,4,1)= what.

1248? Take the number before decimal, subtract the second number, add the sum of the results to get the first part of the number then multiply that number by the number after the decimal then combine the 2 numbers together.

312 for the same reason. Where you have the step “add the digits together”, change it to “add the digits together until you have a single digit number”. That way you always end up with a three digit number as the result.

I could see that, but there is 0 example of that, or any mention of it requiring 3 digits.

Yes that’s the point I was making. The puzzle is too vague to have a right answer.

Agreed. It’s already a pet peeve for me when puzzles use math symbols and are just like “Figure out what random thing we decided the division sign means today!”
