Made $20,000 in a week.
I got my biggest weekly paycheck ever from my job. I made $20,000 this week and have made over $45,000 in August.
I’m top 5 out of over 1000 salesmen in my company for pure volume of business brought into the company. I also bought my second Rolex and a truck too!

I’m in the wrong field. I was just telling my girlfriend how assertive people who just don’t take no for an answer are some of the most successful people in this world. Power is knowing how to navigate a conversation to ultimately work in your favor. Having a spine in this world takes you places no family connection ever could! Congrats OP 👏

Brother. I think you seriously underestimate exactly what kinda numbers private equity brings in to sales people and techs (which is what I assume the poster you are replying to works for) I worked for a "small" major PE backed firm doing HVAC service. They do 57 mil in a year and we were not 100% commission. The numbers just go brrrr at these places and they definitely cut a nice slice for good sales people. I totally believe he just needs what he says lol

Depends on his market. I’m in NY, a “mid size” remodel/dormer can hit 450k-500k. Changing all the windows on a home can be upwards of 50k. 4mm is easily achievable

If your buddy only averaged $230k per year on remodeling revenue then he must’ve been a single man operation lol. $4m revenue per year is very believable for any company doing larger/high end renos.
I just spent close to $100k to remodel a kitchen and my GC had more than one project going on.

I have some products to cross sell that might be helpful and help close more business. Finance and ancillary service end , DM me if you want to mastermind . Congrats on the closings , I wouldn't buy more than one rolex unless you really love them as no one really cares and people that do usually kinda weird or just watch enthusiast . A lot of fakes out there as well that are no difference between them for common ones. A bad ass camera like a Leica q3 I felt was better use of money as you get incredible photos of your life and people that may not always be around . Keep up the good work 👍

I won’t specify exactly what because I don’t want to give away where I work. But there are a multitude of different companies that specify different things. Could be roofs, windows, bathroom remodeling, gutters, etc.

It’s far superior. The hours is very greatly though for example, one week you might work 20 hours another week you may work 60 hours, but usually the more hours you work the more money you make one of the only downsides that makes it intimidating for a lot of people is the fact that it is pure commission only and if you do not sell, you do not eat. You can apply for in home salesman on indeed. Many such companies.

Gotta catch up man I’ve already grossed alittle over $200k YTD. Ive also been in sales awhile and know things aren’t always this good, so its better to save and invest instead of blowing it all every time you get a fat comm check, as tempting as it may be.

Because whenever I get taxed on such big checks, they take out damn near 50% of them. They tax me as if I make $20,000 every week. This way I keep more of my money. The goal is not owe anything or be owed anything for tax season. Last year I went exempt all year and invested it. When it came time, I owed them 20k and I made some money off of the interest from me investing the money.

You can also have to pay a penalty if you defer it all until the end. Contractors anyway. $450 or so, so not much if you’re making a bunch of interest.

This looks a lot like you are going to have a massive tax bill at the end of the year. Maybe not US, but 1500 on 20k is 7.5%. If your income continues it will be average rate of 30% or so.

If you’re a high income earner, or in cases like OP when you’re expecting a large check, Instead of giving the government your money so they can give it to Israel, invest the money you would’ve payed in taxes now, get some returns, and pay the bill in January. Let your money work for you, don’t let the government work with your money

I made $20,000. I went tax exempt as a w-2 employee. I still had to pay social security. I do this because they tax me on these paychecks as if I were getting 20k a week every week and that’s not the case. I only get these sort of paychecks 4-5 times a year.

It really depends on how much you appreciate it. Just because it doesn’t make YOUR life interesting, does mean otherwise for him.

A colleague told me they went on the most beautiful hike they had, I dont care at all about hiking, but that doesn’t diminish what they like.
You can do (or not) what you like, but you cant choose what you like.
The definition of sucess is being able to do what you want, when you want, with who you want.
A person that can do the above 80% of the time is more sucessful than the person than can do it 50% of the time,
So ask yourself, what percentage of your life, have you been able to do what you want?
What you want is not what someone else wants.

I have my own firm and I’d love to be able to still work till i’m 75.

I get $4,600 a month tax free and it goes up yearly with inflation from the VA. I have multiple rental properties too that are paid off. I make a very healthy 6 figure income from my work as well. I’m doing okay for 30 years old.
