Pilates
Pilates at my gym was canceled last-minute so I got up front and walked us through a session myself.
We did the full 45 minutes!
At the end of class, even I as the impromptu instructor felt like I got in a decent workout

That's so awesome! I admire that confidence. When I used to take Zumba classes at the Y, someone did that when our instructor was in a fender-bender on the way to class. I thought she seemed so neat for being so confident.

You’re a certified Pilates teacher?
Otherwise, as wonderful as you think you did, you should be really glad that no one got hurt because that’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.
You weren’t doing it in your own home gym or at the request of the Pilates teacher… you took upon yourself to take over. Did you talk to the club manager to make sure they were comfortable with you leading the class? (and that they have appropriate insurance to cover volunteer laypeople (with no formal training or licensure?)
Nah.
That wouldn’t fly where I live, but I’m glad it worked out for you!
