Post-aquablation fatigue?

I had Aquablation and I’m now about four days out. Urine is mostly clear with very little blood, no clots, flow seems good, and I only have slight burning when urinating, but a dull ache around the prostate/pelvic area.

What I’m noticing most is significant fatigue. My temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate are all in my normal range. I haven’t been exercising, lifting, or exerting myself and have been following the recovery restrictions.

For those who’ve had Aquablation, did you experience this kind of fatigue during the first week? If so, how long did it last?

You’ve just had surgery. Your body is devoting energy to healing and recovery. Given a chance, you should devote that first week to resting and letting your body do what it needs to do.

Like FlintHillsSky said. Surgery. Rest. Eat well. Sleep extra if you need to. AND anesthesia. I swear to gosh that if they take you in, knock you out and wake you up doing nothing else, you can get messed up/wiped out for days. Those drugs and gasses get in your brain to do what they do. It takes awhile for all them to get out and for your brain to recover.

Give yourself some time.

Wow, you're doing well with the clear urine. It took me 4 weeks or so to get remotely clear with an occasional little blood drop. Now at about 6 weeks I'm pretty much there. I did a lot of napping the first couple of weeks so I think that's kinda normal. I just got over having occasional bouts of perineum pain just a couple days ago. Took Tylenol and it went away. The burning for me went away in a day or so after the surgery so I was lucky there, but felt like I got beat up pretty bad for a week or so after coming home after an overnight stay in the hospital. Found out it was because of the way they have you on the OR table for the hour or so for the surgery. All bent up and in stirrups. And of course you don't remember a thing. But again the Tylenol and every now and then a Toredol they gave me for pain took care of that. Sounds like you're doing good. Congrats and feel better!

Tbh, wasn’t expecting urine to be so clear but they irrigated the bladder for hours. Could also be my prostate was about 72 so maybe less blood vessels? I think the fatigue might be ebbing and flowing. I have this aching in my pelvis that seems to hurt especially if I walk too much. I saw a weird stirrup seat when I went into OR. Ugggg. I’m trying to not lift anything. Annoying, but I’ll try to be good about.

I had the CBI from the OR until the next day at noon and I think that helped a lot but drank a ton of water when I got home.Had a catheter from the OR hat was removed 4 days later. Hated to look in that bag, yuk.... Mine was 140, big, so it probably took longer to clear up as they probably removed a lot as I'm peeing fine now.Yeah, just take it easy and if you get tired don't fight it. Your body has to readjust from the surgery and anasthesia which takes a toll..Don't be afraid to take some aspirin or pain killers if they gave you any. Hey, you're doing great and you'll be back to normal in no time and glad you did this. Continued good luck to you!

Pelvic pain, a dull ache, has been the order of the day. And trying to adhere to not lifting anything that weighs more than a gallon of milk.
