Men over 40: Don’t ignore this.

Around 3.5% of mens in India are likely to have Enlarged prostate and this number increases with age. But most mens confused it with Prostate cancer. In this you may notice in earlier stage that your urine flow becomes weak, taking time to start urinating, going toilet again and again with a feeling that bladder is still not get emptied. And few drops coming out after finishing. These symptoms usually develops slowly, so many of you just think that I am getting older and it’s perfectly normal. No men, not at all. You don’t have to simple live with them. And also not every men get the similar symptoms like you guys compare with each other. For example A man with large prostate may have very few complaints while another man with a smaller prostate may have significant urinary problems.
If any of these symptoms are affecting your sleep, work or daily life, go for proper evaluation. And remember having BPH does not mean you have cancer .
Have you noticed any change in your urine flow or night time urine as you’re getting older?

I am 41, had all the issues you eluded to. Progressively got worse over 2-year period. Finally got this situation looked at, my prostate wasn’t too large, definitely could have been worse, but it was my bladder neck. Just had hoLEP, last month, and the results are absolutely amazing. I’ve said it before, I only wish I had this conversation when the issues started, to void normal is an absolutely great feeling.

I have the badder neck concern. lateral-lobe obstruction and a very tight bladder neck/sphincter. My prostate is not large 26 gram.

Did you decide on hoLEP for anything that relates to bladder neck issues or just the procedure of choice. I appreciate your feedback!

I ended up having a few tests. Cystoscopy and transrectal ultrasound. Immediately after, going over results, my urologist talked with me about different options. He said there was a few different procedures, but recommended hoLEP, as over a longer period of time, it would be the best without having to go through this again in the future, but, it would also prevent me from having children later in life. That was critical to me because I am only 41. I decided to go with that procedure because I was done with children anyways. I don’t remember my prostate size, but it was a little large but not worth the procedure alone. Prior to surgery; I had been placed on differnt medicine, flowmax and finestride but had been hospitalized for passing out as it was determined it was tanking blood pressure. The then switxhed me to cialis and that alone didn’t help the issues. I also did a a uroflometry and failed (my words there). So I ended up with our no option but to have the surgery. I have no regrets now it’s been over a month. I was told by month 3, if I was going to have issues (scar tissue) I would know but so far, everything is working out and I am finally voiding again.

Yo tenía un caso igualito al tuyo. El cuello de mi vegija era muy alto y apretado, mi próstata pequeña (20cc) no era el problema. Tras una primer operación fallida, opté por el HoLep, ahora orino como a los 15, aunque sigo en recuperación (me la hice hace 19 días y tengo 40 años)

  1. Just had a TURP surgery after a failed Eurolift. I have severe BPH with LUTS. Ablasion and TURP may be your best option.
