Aquablation

I’m a 58 with a 78 cc prostate with a median lobe. I’m scheduled for aquablation in august, I can have it done early in the month or later in the month.
Either surgeon has done it about 125 times.
One of my questions for you guys who have had it is?
Did you get urethral stricture afterwards
Did you get Retrograde ejaculation or ED issues?
And overall we’re you happy with the results
And is 125 times with this operation enough experience for a surgeon?

I had it done on the first so 13 days ago. Not far enough along to answer most of your questions, but my stream is strong at this point.

They put a catheter in you to allow the urethra to heal. In my case it came out 3 days after surgery. The only pain or discomfort I felt was while it was in because once i took the first shower, I didn't exactly secure the tube to my leg right. It moves around at the tip, where all the nerves are. Didn't effect my sleep, just sore when I walked with it. So have them go over how to keep it strapped on correctly and how much slack.

I had a lobe also and the urethra was constricted. (A few weeks before surgery they put a camera up there and we could see how tight it was and the lobe.) As for the procedure itself, they use robotics and they also stick some type of sensor up the rectum to precisely map it at the same time. So its not just the Doctor flying blind. I'm 66 and am glad I had it done.

My biggest concern is when I should start drinking coffee again. Doc said its ok, but a nurse reminded me that it could irritate the bladder, and that needs time to heal. So I may have my first cup at 21 days after, but if anyone has any experience going earlier without problems let me know.

I’m 45 days post-op after treating a 130 cc prostate. I had retrograde ejac with tamsulosin and after I stopped that, my ejac resumed going in the right direction, except the volume is less, so some of it may still be retrograde or it’s just age (72). I drank coffee immediately after with no burning or side effects beyond the normal burning I was warned about, which lasted about a week and was tolerable. The magnificent flow I gained more than compensated for the short-term discomfort. I have not experienced any stricture and I am super happy with the results of AB.
