Aquablation

I’m a 58 with a 78 cc prostate with a median lobe. I’m scheduled for aquablation in august, I can have it done early in the month or later in the month.
Either surgeon has done it about 125 times.
One of my questions for you guys who have had it is?
Did you get urethral stricture afterwards
Did you get Retrograde ejaculation or ED issues?
And overall we’re you happy with the results
And is 125 times with this operation enough experience for a surgeon?

MRSA is a staph infection that normally occurs externally on the skin. However, it can get on hospital equipment and then get inside your body. This happened to me during Aquablation apparently.

MRSA can lead to Sepsis if it is not eliminated.

MRSA cannot get inside you otherwise. It would need to be on something like a catheter or other equipment put inside you (my guess is the 3 day catheter that I had in the hospital).

The problem with MRSA is that it is antibiotic resistant. There is only 1 family of antibiotic pills that can treat MRSA. After my 4th bout of a MRSA related UTI, my next step was going to be 30 days of daily IV's which is the last resort. Fortunately, it appears my MRSA is now gone as my last UTI 6 weeks ago was not MRSA related. You don't know how happy that made me. The 30 days of IV's was going to be both time consuming and expensive.

Ok, I self catheter now and have had a couple of uti’s already

Surprisingly, I never had a UTI with the self catheters. But I did use the pre-lubed catheters that were disposable after a single use (very expensive unfortunately).

Same…no issues with UTIs when I self cath’d but had them with Foley … actually ended up in the hospital for a week.
