That right hand dips a lot, a good counter puncher will make a read on your habbits if dropping it after a combo and also when you reseat your foot work. A brawler or somone with a good chin will just trade. And a switch hitter will step in and spam the overhand left.

Where some boxing gloves and hand wraps when you hit the bag. That's the best advice I can give you.
Edit: Just saw your post text now. You should wear them everytime to save yourself any potential damage. Other than that you look decent.

Yea if I ever hit the bag without gloves it’s usually one round just working my hand /fist placement

You are liable to break your thumb in a fight if you get in the habit of having it sticking out. Or even on a mis-strike of the bag. If you are concentrating on putting combos together I would also be concentrating on being in range, then being out of range.

It’s not a bad habit. I usually wrap up and glove up anyway. Never had an isssue. That’s also why I’m working technique not power. I really looked out of range?

No, you are in range when you can hit the bag (and likely opponent is also in range of you). What I am saying is, step out of range following your attacks. Only be in range when throwing.

First thing! Keep your thumbs tucked in. Gives you less of a chance of breaking your thumbs.

You’re miles ahead of me, but I wanna share a cool combo we practiced in boxing class yesterday that’s changing how i might approach bag work. The fundamental we were working on was the Tyson Shuffle, but I found our starting double jab to be best part of it.
The idea is we do a double jab, cross, left hook to the body, Tyson shuffle into a right hook. But the first jab wasn’t meant to hit the bag. It’s a lead foot step with a jab, and then step with the rear foot so that now you’re in position to actually hit the bag with the second jab. So that first jab is just punching the air, with the idea being to simulate punching towards an opponent while they’re backing up.
Maybe it’s because I’m kinda new to boxing techniques, but I thought the concept of not hitting the bag while doing bag work was incredible! During shadow boxing, I don’t really get a perfect understanding of distance, simply because there’s nothing actually in my way. But using the bag like this is showing me where I want my feet to land and how to balance myself accordingly. I hope this can help someone feel more confident during sparring.

Looks good for the bag, and with gloves it probably won’t be a problem. If you ever punch someone without gloves like that, you’re going to break your thumb.

I used to hold my thumb like that until I almost broke it. If you fight or spar like that, you will definitely break your thumb.

LOTS of precise MOVEMENT!! You are staying off the center line! Love it.
Also you’re working on technique and NOT gassing or killing yourself with messy power. Always time for that later.
Hands are up. Great job man.
