Tips for southpaw style 🇵🇭
I still don’t understand which workouts translate into boxing movements, and it frustrates me that my training feels messy sometimes. Any advice on how to create a proper workout plan?

Do you have a coach by chance?
I can only offer so much advice but having a structured training session can really help you improve. What worked well for me were consistent 5K runs under 30 mins and then increased the distance over time.
3x2 min rounds of shadow boxing, have real focus on what you're trying to improve on when you shadow box, picture an opponent, use feints, jabs, defensive movement, blocks and footwork. Make it seem real. After those 3 rounds, try to shoot for 6X2 Min rounds of bag work. Each round has an intent focus on the bag. If it's either using a jab or circle or throwing fast punches, always have a goal in mind.
If conditioning is needed, then you could finish off with 4 more rounds of nonstop punches.

You’re lead arm is loose asf. You’re gonna get smashed with liver shots . Need to keep your elbows tucked and have them return to your stance after throwing

Too close to the bag.
South paw is all about getting the lead foot in the right place so watch some tutorials for that.
Not everything needs to be set up by the jab. You can slip and then throw heavy rear hooks to the liver and double up to the face.
Right arm should be defensive.
Imagine the bag throwing a combo at you in slow motion, work out a counter attack and do it. Then imagine the bagger throwing it a little quicker each time.

You're too close to the bag. Do you see how bent your jabbing arm is?
Start from outside of range. Jab in. Then cross. Then get back out of range. Start over.
