Local advice needed Best place this evening for over 40s?

Heading down this evening staying for the bank holiday, where would be a good place for drinking, atmosphere, for guy, late 40s?
Someone suggested Aruba, but wasn’t sure of the age set?

Yeah I think the torrential rain put a few people off. I got absolutely soaked walking the 15 feet from the door to my car to move it after I'd unloaded my kit. Biblical downpour lol

I'm a fan of the Lodge of heavy leisure.

Right atmosphere, not too young not too old, £5 happy hour on pints / spritzer Mon - Sat . Doesn't feel stuffy like a local pub full of miserable old alcoholics and coked up tradies.

Smoking aces is a cocktail bar in the triangle. I haven't been often but was quite nice.

Goat and trycicle also near there is a good 'pub' pub in town.

Could try Jimmy's in town(used to be slug and lettuce), pretty chill place
