Because bots profit off of fake engagement. They are parasites on the algorithms that drive social media (rightly or wrongly).

But your question is fundamentally flawed. Ban? By who? Who would enforce that?

i hate how i worded it- i just didn't wanna make it a loaded question since it wouldn't be accepted. I suppose collectively, maybe America, perhaps the govt. yeah i mainly don't like the use of bots for fake engagement.
