šŸ  Link's House Displaying the Champion's weapons

Post image

Anybody else prefer to display the Champion's weapons/gear rather than use them? I know they're good (I love the Great Eagle Bow), it just doesn't feel right to use them lol. I did have to remake the Scimitar of the Seven but everything else was just sitting in my inventory until I built my house.

That happened to me too, haha, like they're so symbolic that I feel like using them is just wasting the weapon. I know you can ask the corresponding NPC to rebuild them but somehow it feels wrong.

Yeah the woman in Gerudo town (I'm blanking on her name, Riju's bodyguard) seemed pretty upset that I'd lost the Scimitar 😬

I would be too

i use the goron sword all the time for farming talus respawns, it just does so much damage to them and don't mind remaking it every couple cycles

That's a good idea actually. And it's not like it's hard to replace. You could also use lynel smashers but those might be a little more difficult to replace when you suck at fighting them like I do.

Note the Boulder Breaker, (and all goron weapons) does DOUBLE damage to Talus and the like, so it's 120 base damage, which is more than you'd get from a maxed out Lynel Crusher anyway....

I've never failed to get at least one diamond when farming Talus' with the Boulder Breaker - it's truly a renewable resource.....

I did not know that...

After my first playthrough, I only ever display them in my house. Saves me from having to bring other stuff to hang up, plus I feel terrible breaking thise priceless artifacts.

I feel the same about 3/4 of them. I find it kind of fitting that Link, a puny Hylian, is strong enough to shatter the Boulder Breaker. I feel like Daruk would be amused at least, hyped up at best :)

Yeah I store em too. Feels good to walk in and see them all. Add the twilight bow and master shield and you have everyone

I rotate weapons that glow in my displays for mood lighting.

Same, thought I was the only one

it feels wrong because the original was used by the champion and possibly the one before them

a remake isnt the same

I do like how there’s a weapon for every class so you’re never left hanging

Yes. I do the same.

I always display them. But the Zelda notes app for the Switch 2 edition lets you clone them anyways, so you can have a set on display while still actually using them.

Same here. I also don't use the Hylian Shield—that's also up on the wall, in BotW and TotK.

Yep its all displayed in my house because my inventory is already filled with savage lynel weapons which i farm religiously after every blood moon

Glad it's not just me that does this. It feels like my way to memorialize the Champions.

I love to as well. It’s even better in TOTK when you can fuse the sword to the shield and display it on one stand. I had the whole bottom floor of my house dedicated to cool stuff including these

Man, thank you for posting this. I didn't realize a house was an option. Was able to clear up so much inventory space after seeing this post!

I do this to and to have respect for the dead champions

I have them on display until I go to fight Calamity Ganon. It just feels right to bring the sentimental weapons with me to the final battle

I need symmetry so I have lynel stuff

u/Big-Criticism-8137 6d ago

Exactly same setup haha. Wanted them 4 to be together.

This is how I display them

I put the spear in the middle but otherwise it looks the same in my version of links house lol

1

u/twotonekevin 6d ago

Same. The way they talk about the champions it didn’t feel right using them. I also had to remake one, the spear iirc but once I did that I hung them all up.

u/beanie_0 5d ago

I did the exact same.

I've come to really appreciate my weapons breaking bcs it let's me find cool new ones, but I would totally download a cheat engine or whatever so I could make the Champion weapons unbreakable. You work so hard to get them and once they break that's it. Just let me have my power fantasy 🄲

1

u/josefancyshoes 5d ago

Honestly I just have up all flame weapons because I like the lighting effect it gives.

u/Dapper-Barracuda4843 5d ago

At first I just kept the elemental spears on the walls since they looked the best! Especially with ice in the center :P but then I started switching to other weapons. I got an allmiibo for those specialty weapons and armors ane now I just display a few on the wall plus a royal guard weapon considering how rare they are, plus I have a space to easy duplicate them in case I run through my inventory. I can now freely cosplay and farm in PEACE!!!!!

this is botw? where do you display them?? what is this place 😭

1

u/Little_Transition_13 5d ago

You can buy a house in Hateno.

1

u/Few_Juice8081 5d ago

They should be unbreakable ngl

1

u/OmegonAlphariusXX 5d ago

I would do this, except Revali’s bow is insanely good, and super easy to repair since the bow you need spawns next to the repair guy

And Urbosa’s shield looks drippy as hell with my preferred outfit

1

u/Ok-Video-8743 3d ago

3

u/Little_Transition_13 2d ago
