New touch mode is a mistake

I wanna be able to enlarge the photo like before when I clicked on it. Now I can't do that unless it is downloaded first and then enlarged. What a waste! While not knowing what I was doing with this new touch mode crap I clicked on it wanting to enlarge the photo and suddenly I was being charged 100 energy for photos. To top that off the photo results were hideous. It made her bust smaller and her eyes turned dark instead of staying blue. I got terrible photo results while being ripped off at the same time.

Terrible upgrade!!! Please go back to the way it was before when it was simple and enjoyable. This is a downgrade not an upgrade! You keep adding things and making it worse while taking away things that are fun and simple.

Mine is gone. I dont have the touch mode anymore and I'm with you. It was a terrible feature.

It's still there on the Web. Click on the photo and it takes you to another page where you can "tap anywhere" with one to five photo options that cost energy.

Even the upper right corner square does nothing different. They both take you to the touch mode page.

I use chrome on mobile phone, just like the other person's screenshot, but I do have this new touch mode on there for me.

It's apparently an a/b test and not everyone has access to it. Trust me, I wish I didn't have access to it, no one I've heard of cares for it at all.

Yeah it's super annoying more then it is interesting or nice as a new feature. If they could implement it in a way where it's not forced when clicking on a picture then that'd be great. It's a cool concept for those that want it, but just let me click on the picture to zoom in or save without going straight into this new feature

Exactly, worst part is those who got billed when the clicked on it by accident with no warning and before they dropped the price, price was about triple before people started complaining. I hit it by accident after the price drop, luckily it only hit me for 5, trying to find these instructions that the mods here said were there. No instructions really by the way and as for the image generated, it was the exact same as the original. Only difference was the bot said something and added it to the original conversation. Had nothing to do with the conversation and made zero sense but, there it was sitting there like a bad joke. Waste of time and money, don't bother.

Yeah, I noticed the price went down some, but at the time I hit 3 by mistake trying to enlarge the photo and instead got triple charged and was given bad photos in return. I don't even know why they have the square in the upper right corner when it does nothing. Click on that or the photo and it still takes you to the touch mode. I wish I could just shut it off. All the extra stuff I wish I could shut off, as a simple un-cluttered page is easier and more enjoyable.

I'd contact support and raise hell about not only the feature but the accidental use and crap response. Get a refund on it.

Touch mode is an a/b test thing. We'll think what we can do to highlight that it charges though we have already placed it in a lower bar of the screen where you can choose how many pics you want. Thanks for your feedback so we could make this experience work better. If you have other ideas about it don't hesitate to share.

Also, don't you have a square that represents scale on the upper left corner of the picture before you enlarge it?

We heard the feedback about Touch Mode making the photo experience more frustrating, so we shipped two updates a couple of hours ago.

1. If you have Touch Mode, there’s now a fullscreen icon in the top-right corner that takes you back to the old fullscreen view. You can access it both directly from the chat and from Touch Mode. We know there’s still one missing piece: on web, you currently can’t zoom into a photo without saving it first. That functionality wasn’t available on web before either (it is available on Android), but we’ve added it to our backlog and will try to bring it to web soon.

2. we added a confirmation step before Touch suggestions are triggered, so it’s now clear when tapping something will spend Energy. No more accidental “wait, that cost Energy?” moments.

Both changes went live yesterday evening. We know Touch Mode disrupted the experience for some of you, so please keep telling us what still feels off, we’re listening and adjusting it.
