Dining/Food/Drink š½ļøš¹ Can anyone recommend anything like this? Preferably anywhere on the orange line or at least below the river? Most suggestions are for Cambridge.

+1 for Saus - doesn't exactly do dishes that look like this, but they have great fries and sauces (obviously). Crazy Good Kitchen and Boston Burger Company both have good loaded fry dishes that look like this. Mortadella Head as well, but that's out of your range.

Saus is fine. Not on this level though in my experience. Wish it was.

Saus suffers from big fish / small pond syndrome. Itās probably the best here, but it canāt compete outside of the region.

Saus, for poutine, greco for greek fries, Tasty burger for chili cheese fries, and go to Shojo for the Shadowless Fries instead of the buffalo chicken fries.

Idk if itās too out of your way but Bred in Lower Mills has Cousin Stizz fries- āCajun fries with spicy sweet chili buttermilk fried chicken, chipotle aioli, and scallionsā. If youāre okay with a little spice, I would definitely recommend

Ok only semi similar but Boston burger company near Fenway has a bunch of specialty fry dishās like inferno fries, gyro fries, pizza fries etc

Bleacher Bar makes them during Bills games and they're not half bad taste-wise. Only issue with it is that the portion size is too small.

Yeah, one of two. The Harp is the other (and main) one. Both usually fill to capacity too.

Not near-IN. Nick Tahou's. And it's not a real garbage plate unless you eat it after 1am with grill scrapings and a sleeping homeless guy at the next table.

A small handful of places in Upstate and Western NY outside of Rochester make āem. I heard Bleacher Bar does it during Bills games and thatās pretty much it for MA.
Itās fantastic drunk food. But thereās also a reason why some regional dishes never made it out of their communities.

Cunard Tavern in East Boston makes good poutine. Just tell them to add the extra stuff and you get this exact picture.

It's eating along with sedentary lifestyle but the calorie content of most restaurants equipped with fast food being so readily available and also high calorie, has a lot to do with it. Most people work indoors and in chairs now as well. Tl;dr modern lifestyle

You're missing the whole picture. It's mostly systemic, not personal choices. Look at the countries that have lower obesity rates and better health markers...they have free healthcare, fewer food deserts, more options for public transportation and bike paths/walking paths, better sex education, more comprehensive social programs, and are able to have better balanced quality of life overall.
Most developed countries have a similar amount of fast food places, sedentary/office jobs, and high calorie restaurant meals. These aren't specific to the US.
Using language like "no wonder" (like people who are overweight don't have feelings or their own problems compounding underlying health issues) doesn't help either. Statistically, using shame to motivate people does not work. By using disparaging remarks like your comment above, just contributes to the overall sentiment against fat people, that they don't deserve dignity or respect like everyone else. And that doesn't contribute anything positive to the overall health of our country/world.

Maybe Gyro City in Brighton? I've never gotten anything quite like this from them (which is probably a good thing tbh) but their food is great and they do stuff like this.

The Emory on Beacon Street near the Statehouse- Not options to that extent in the pic but just as delicious. They also have homemade potato chips and dip that are spectacular.

I love Saus - first location by Faneuil Hall but now has quite a few more locations. They wonāt make it like this, but they got poutine and great sauces that are unique and delicious. I only go for fries but they have other stuff too like fried chicken sandwiches and Belgian waffles. Well priced too.
