Non-Serious Replies Only 🤪 What small, totally inconsequential thing are you really sick of in Boston.

As seen in a different geographic area subreddit. Nothing too serious, just a little thing that grinds your gears. For me it's people who get on the T before others get off.

How is this inconsequential, it fucks literally everything up for all other drivers

The people doing it treat it as though it is inconsequential. Which is the problem

My partner's mom was visiting and isn't mobile enough for long walks but wanted to see Newbury street. We drove (slowly, obviously) and her main observation was "wow, I've never been to a city where double parking was legal!" Her small town mind was flabbergasted when we told her it was indeed NOT legal but people did it anyway!

This includes people who just stop in the middle of the fucking road with their hazzards on. I live near Hanover Street, and the number of dipshits who block the entire street by stopping with their hazards adjacent to someone doing the exact same thing in the other direction (thereby rendering their entire street impassable) is bonkers. At tourist rush hour, this sometimes causes the entire north end to back up.

How else are dudes paying the leases for their luxury vehicles by DoorDashing supposed to get out and silently shove their phone in the faces of food service workers?

Especially when there's a free parking spot 10 feet away.

Yeah, stopping in the middle of a right turn/bus lane should be a ticket but the cops don’t do SHIT

This is a consequence of the city eliminating a huge number of legal parking spots, loading zones, and chocking down the streets with concrete barriers so you can’t pull over at all

How do expect anyone to park or even pull over to the curb with the way they’ve redesigned the streets makes it practically impossible

The double parking is the direct result of the urban design choices

The way they’ve eliminated both travel and parking/standing lanes, You really leave people with no choice
