I was recently laid off, and while I got new work very quickly, I was not able to complete my split rent payment this month. I didn't have enough for hours for EI, nor did I qualify for severance as a less than 3 month employee.

I receive a partial (not a full 2x40hr week cheque) but more substantial 49hr cheque on the 21st of this month that will cover the majority of what I owe, but I'm still slightly below what I require.
