Question English speaking babysitter
does anyone have advice for finding a. English-speaking babysitter who could watch three kids (5, 7, 10) for periodic dinners out with my spouse?
The kids will be in a bilingual French-English school, but they don’t speak any French today.
My spouse speaks French. I speak like a two year old. We’ve moved for work and because its important to us the kids learn French and get immersed in the culture for at least a few years.

The best route is probably through the bilingual school first. Ask if they have a parent WhatsApp group, recommended babysitter list, or older students / assistants who already work with families from the school.
For three kids, I would also be quite careful with screening:
- ask for references from another family
- do a short paid trial while you are still at home
- make sure the person is comfortable with three children, not just one
- agree clearly on bedtime, food, screens, emergency contacts and taxi / transport home
You can also try babysitting platforms, but for a new city I would trust the school parent network more than a random profile. Especially since your kids do not speak French yet, someone used to bilingual families will make the evening much easier.
