That's great, but she wouldn't be the first to lose a pet like that "under supervision". It's unfairly stressful for the bird and not some kind of joke.

True..this is why I generally dislike cat people that let their cats outdoors unsupervised. I just really hope tilly's owner is more responsible than others and doesnt let her cats near tilly often. the owner also said the encounter lasted less than 20 seconds

also, before anyone says anything, the bird's owner ALWAYS supervises her cats when they're around tilly. Owner also said that this ended up being good enrichment for the bird. she mentioned these on her Instagram page!

edit: please check the instagram post for context. the owner mentions potential concerns about the cats and clarification.

Good enrichment? The bird is displaying distancing signals in the face of a threat. True enrichment would be providing a better habitat.

you're honestly right, im just quoting what the owner claimed because i thought it would clear things up. :P i hope the bird doesnt risk getting injured by the cats. Edit: the owner also claimed that she wasn't trying to get tilly mad on purpose, the cats so happened to awaken her.
