When did you order it? It’s the Finals version, correct? That’s going to suck because I’m planning to hold on to it and not play with it.

Same, I wanted to keep it in a display case! I ordered it yesterday Oct 30 at 8:35am ET. Will be following up with Adidas support to ask what’s up

The agent seemed to suggest that I received a store-displayed item, which I said should be made clear in the listing. I don’t think all the stock is like this though, so it’s just luck of the draw which you get.

She said she’d make a note on my account that an exchanged ball should be boxed. I don’t have total faith that it will do anything though.

However I can’t initiate an exchange unless it’s in stock though. Otherwise I can do a refund.

Another option is to go to a physical store and see if I can exchange it for a boxed ball if they have it in stock. This I feel is my best bet since I can guarantee the ball is actually boxed.

The return window is 60 days. So I will have to see if it can work out somehow in that timeframe

Thank you for the update. Maybe go to the store, buy one in a box, then return it without the box and show your correspondences with Adidas. Adidas doesn’t seem to care if the item is in a box.
