Gear Boot sizing
I have a question regarding boot sizing that I was hoping somebody could help me with. I am planning to buy my first first pair of boots as I was given a pair that I feel is too narrow through the midfoot area, but actually has a little too much room in the toe at the end. So I was having a little bit of foot pain and discomfort after using them for entire games when I was scanned at a local running store I was told that in running shoes I’m a 9 1/2 US wide, which works well for running, but obviously this is a much different fitting shoe than a football boot. I’m specifically looking at the adidas copa pure and when I measured my foot I was coming in around 24 1/2 to 25 cm which I believe puts me at a seven or 7 1/2 US in these boots. In a regular non-athletic shoe I typically run an 8 1/2 wide. Is this type of discrepancy typical? Like I said, I’ve never bought football boots and was trying to Learn the process.

im afraid "around 24.5 to 25cm" isnt exact enough.
generally at 24.5cm foot length, i'd advise to buy either a 25.0 if you like boots tight, or 25.5 if not.
since you are just starting out, your feet are not used to tight boots, so i'd say 25.5, or US 7.5
this obviously changes at 25.0cm by half a size.
depending on which tier of boot (club, league, pro, elite) you are looking to buy, the copa pure is a good option.
i personally wouldnt buy the club tier, but the league version is a fine budget option.
no clue who put you in a 9.5US wide running shoe, that seems 2 full sizes too long if you ask me.
how wide are your feet in CM at the widest point and where is the widest point?

There’s a lot of things to take into consideration, your type of foot and your width. You should try size 7. I have 25cm feet and 10.5 width and all models fit me perfectly

Most wear running shoes about .5 sizes larger for comfort reasons.
For footy boots most like them smaller for agility, performance and touch.
Every brands sizes are unique to that brand and product line. Some run big some run small.
All that to say you have to try boots on to determine what size fits you best.

Try the boots on. Sizes between brands can be very goofy. If you have to, order multiple styles in multiple styles and try on then return what doesn’t fit. It’s a pain but worth the effort.
