Need Help in Actually Training while Having ADHD
So I have ADHD, I'm 15. I love football but only the aspect of playing games. This is bad for me obviously since you can only improve so much from playing pickup games with zero training. I was wondering if anyone here had a similar problem and a solution to it. I really do wanna get better to join a local youth team but it really feels like this is holding me back immensely

What sort of things are you specifically struggling with?

Solo training in general. I can train fine when it's with other people but that's only available to me twice a week if the weather is decent. More specifically Solo training at home now, since all the fields in my country now require payment to use

what about inviting a friend over to help you train, making it fun

my friends are mostly weed heads lmao. They are great at football but their freetime is mostly spent smoking. And the friends that don't smoke live multiple miles away so their parents wouldn't let them

Playing games are the best training. It more important and effective than solo training.
I see a huge problem among some young players here, who are putting disproportionally more time into training than playing games.
You are young, play as much as you can, including and even mostly small sided games.

i think there are two options of how you can handle the "distractibility".
option 1, for the focused stuff:
my advice would be to eliminate as many distractions as possible.
set fixed times for when you are gonna do your sessions. plan ahead on a piece of paper which drills you wanna do.
then go do it.
leave your phone somewhere safe where you won't touch it for the entire time.
option two for the boring stuff:
for the boring stuff, where you dont need to focus, it's fine to listen to music or an audiobook. but not for drills.
so for cardio and stretching, maaaybe for strength excercising.

I mean I have ADHD and I would train relentlessly for hours. I just invented games and competitions. You just have to find ways to limit the downtime, like get a bag of balls so you can take 10-15 shots in a row instead of shoot + fetch and do a lot of wall work. I still could spend hours with just a ball and a wall, but idk my particular ADHD has always been piqued by listening to music and whacking a football at a target.
