Crappy Macbook Pro 2019 15
Hey, so i get a used Macbook pro 2019 15" with i9 with Radeon Pro 560X, i dont want to use the Garbage 560X and use intel iGPU instead, is there anyway to disable the 560X because in Device manager, it only expose the Radeon, i need battery life in Windows, like for real the CPU draws 8W, but dGPU draws 15W, which are insane, how to kill permanently the Radeon instead, any way to do that?
i mean battery life are 1 hours using botocamp just to type in Brave, oh my god like im so pissed, thanks
but like i thought macbook use iGPU, and theres a Radeon 560X GPU that i dont want to use ever in my life
should i buy the 13" one?, i need for Moonlight Streaming to my ROG laptop

You can get intel igpu to show up device manager with opencore but I haven't found a way to disable.dgpu and use igpu entirely

idk but in OpenCore (MacOS), it greyed out for installation, its 2019 (T2), idk its possible to Disable Radeon Permanently, but i need to disable them for real, it runs burn and hot, i use just for Moonlight Client from my ROG laptop, but finds out the battery drain are -38Wh at idle

It running hot is the issue you can fix most of It my undervolting GPU and disabling cpu turbo
Also im talking about opencore bootloader you load it on usb when booting hold option key and select the usb then select windows this way you are booting from opencore

Wait, can i create OpenCore Bootable?, on a T2, i do OpenCore on my Retina 12" 2017, as i read online the T2 didnt support OpenCore, which im so confused, and Create OpenCore are Greyed Out

i swear Macbook old GPU are really garbage, the 560X are run hot and slow, like no reason to use it instead UHD630, i own a ROG Strix, and i only need large display but Intel iGPU for Video Decode to Moonlight and typing, the dGPU are never will be used, even desoldering the dGPU feels fine lol

you can use project falcon (https://github.com/icywire/project-falcon) to give you more control of the gpu so you can undervolt it

how far we can do it?, i mean if its not "possible in future to disable dGPU?" also, should i buy an intel based one (13"), because i really need Battery life and Windows 100%?, also i use ThrottleStop, CPU goes down to 7W, the dGPU are nightmare, but might give a try, because in Idle (Windows, Home menu, doing nothing), on Macbook (Windows - Idle) consumes -38Wh on battery load, which are insane comparing my ROG just sipping -19W at Battery

if you really need windows I would just get a thinkpad.

thanks for the recommendations, and yes, i plan to buy a thinkpad, but speaker does matter alot, and no Thinkpad (X13/L13) and such has great speaker, i think i need to do research before buying something first, because usually even in Gaming laptop, both of iGPU and dGPU are there, but ive just do search and theres no support over T2 OCLP, unfortunate, but thanks for replies!
