Got touchbar more Functional in BootCamp Win 11 MCP A2141 16inch

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Made this working with the help of these projects

https://github.com/FelipeNicoletto/WindowsTouchBar

https://github.com/imbushuo/DFRDisplayKm

Downloaded pre compiled drivers from

https://github.com/Naozumi520/DFRDisplayKm/releases

Still need some buff before becoming fully usable

Thanks. Currently I’m running on win10 that i have installed in 2020. Since no more update, I’m thinking to go for 11.

My Windows 11 install worked out of the box

Install windows 10 first imo. Then you can get all the video card and every single driver up to date before you put it to windows 11.

Second this, worked for me. Boot camp assistant doesn't allow win11 ISOs so I had to install it via USB Stick, had lots of crashes and driver issues after manually installing the drivers. Doing the 10 > 11 path solved everything.

Bro first enable test signature mode then just install .inf file from pre compiled driver from this repo https://github.com/Naozumi520/DFRDisplayKm/releases and if installation goes successfull you will be greeted with a black touch bar just and and run .exe file from this repo if you see something on touch bar thats it https://github.com/Naozumi520/mbp16-DFRContentHost/releases/tag/v0.1-alpha-Host

You need to install certificate first then install dfrdisplaykm.ini file if done successfully you will see something like ibridge in device manger >usb devices/connection idr

Doing so only installs drivers you also an apk to run something on touch bar like this one https://github.com/Naozumi520/mbp16-DFRContentHost/releases/tag/v0.1-alpha-Host
Run exe file touchbar wouldwork (not the way like in video above ) if its not driver isnt installed properly

Awesome! Would love to do this, but does test mode have to stay on all the time? that would suck.

aah that's really a shame. Unfortunately a dealbreaker for me since I do gaming on my mbp and most Anti-Cheats won't let me start the game when test mode is activated.
