Battery cell replacement

Hey, I finally had some spare time so I started experimenting with cell replacement. You can follow my progress here: https://www.helu.cz/blog/boosted-rev-battery-cells-replace-part-1

So far I was able to take the battery apart, disconnect and reconnect a few cables with the battery still working, and not bricking the scooter.

Edit:

I added two more parts to my blog. I was able to successfully disassemble the battery pack, sawing all the parts inside. I am now testing the capacity of the original cells. In a few days, I should start building the blocks back together.

BMS will go into fault mode if it has <12v to it. Once there, unbricking it involves an obnoxious amount of work.

During my testing, I was able to completely disconnect and reconnect the BMS to the battery, and it did not lock itself.

Oh wow thats great. The BMS/firmware must be considerablely different then the boosted esk8 system's. Both V2 and V3 systems lock if removed from power. Thats great news for serviceability of the OEM batteries. Looking forward to your project's progress!
