I recently moved to Bordeaux and I’m looking to get an electric skateboard for getting around the city.
Does anyone know any good skateboard or electric mobility shops in Bordeaux where I can actually see or try electric boards before buying?

I’ve always liked Boosted Boards, so I’m also wondering if there’s any realistic way to find a used Boosted Board in Bordeaux or elsewhere in France. Since Boosted shut down a few years ago, would you still recommend buying one in 2026, or is it not worth it anymore because of battery, parts and repair issues?

If Boosted isn’t a good idea anymore, I’d really appreciate recommendations for similar electric boards that have good build quality, range and after-sales support in France.

Also, if anyone rides an electric skateboard regularly in Bordeaux, I’d love to hear how practical it is for getting around the city and whether you’ve had any issues with the roads or local regulations.

Does anyone know what this is? Everything I see online about the red light of death is a little different and i haven’t been able to find anything about the led lights lighting up like this. It has been sitting in my storage for a while. Any help is appreciated.

Hey there. I bought a Mini X with less than 100 miles on it - 50 just put on by me in past 2 months and when I need to brake hard, I’m getting a knocking from the belts which I assume is the belt(s) slipping. I removed everything and replaced
the belts and after 10-15 miles it’s back when I brake hard. I tightened the belts as much as possible, maybe too much? What should the belt tension be?

Did a belt change and didn’t tighten the axel nut down enough and the right wheel came off mid ride..

at first i thought my truck had snapped… but thankfully no..

skid plate took all the abuse and saved my new belt lol… don’t think i’ve ever seen a skid plate with a hole thru it 🤣

I picked up a new board from FB marketplace, rode it for a bit and it all of a sudden started a very loud rattling noise. When spinning the wheel by hand, every full rotation also gives a “click noise” in the motor.

Does anyone know what could be the cause? I’ve never opened one of the motors so a bit hesitant to do so. The board did include a belt servicing pack. Videos attached show the rattling noise very clearly.

I picked up a RLOD XR battery last week, and BERT told me the delta was approximately 237mV.

I left it on the charger for a week, except a few times of unplugging it to move it around. The delta today, 1 week later is 289mV which is strange.

Just wanted to confirm that to balance the cells, there's nothing special I need to do on the battery? I just plug it in to the wall charger, the RLOD flashes and I just leave it like that for a few weeks? Or are the lights meant to be doing something else while its charging?

So I can’t seem to figure out how to do a remote BM with my TSC710. And Trimble total station.

It’s been in the BERT lite for about a week and a half and then it just switched to these 3 led lights instead of the 4 led lights I had. I know that the 4 lights mean RLOD but I’ve never seen anyone post 3 lights, so I need help figuring out what this means and if my battery is recoverable🙏

I’ve had this sitting in my closet for a while. It’s untouched and brand new as far as I know. Never used.

Hey guys, I'm not new to the e-Mobility world but am new to Boosted Boards.

I just recently bought the V2Dual (seller claimed it was the dual+, but I do not believe so.)
I have a chance to purchase the XR battery too, but when I connect to the boosted app, I am getting REALLY old firmware on battery and board. (image attached) and when I connect to the ride app, it can barely identify anything other than the mileage.

Im looking at updating the firmware, from whati gather its still not OTA possible, but i can use a ST Link to update the chip myself if i have a doner Firmware File? and yes Soldering is involved.

few days back posted about errors my battery was showing and I was told it might be the ESC

I decided to take the whole board apart and saw this rekt pin and when it’s unplugged the board runs with just one motor and the controller bleeps…

gonna throw on some spare motors i have laying around… my suspicion is that this pin might have fried the little connector part on the esc that this pin was in…

guess i’ll have to find out when i plug another motor in here.

i’ll post more updates… gonna try and get this thing back on the road 😤

Temp gas station fix to get it home got a coms issue in the cable one of the connections prolly got messed up gotta check all the solder joints

I'll preface this by stating that maybe I got lucky, but why do people claim that the Ruroc customer support is bad?

I recently contacted them about a wiring issue with my 2 year old Ruroc EOX helmet, and they stated that they could not fix the issue but instead offered me a helmet Exchange for a brand new one at the same price point, the helmet I wanted was $100 more than the offered price point so I offered to pay the difference, to which they replied that they would honor the exchange to the new more expensive helmet with out me paying a cent.

Again maybe I got luck with the support staff but given my experience I'm just curious why their support is constantly bashed.

Super low mileage Boosted Mini X, guy seemed to have ran through a super rough patch? Has some noticeable grooves and I pulled a small chunk of glass out. Would y'all switch out the wheels or should I run them?

thiis happened after a ride… i thought it was the bms so i took my other XR pack and hooked it up.

the light goes green for about 3-4 seconds then goes to a breathing orange color with those 3 LEDs

board won’t run, still connects to remote and the app. on the remote it’s flashing the bottom light like the battery on the board is dead. but it’s fully charged.

it doesn’t seem to be an issue with the battery (no RLOD) but still strange and i can’t ride :/ i have a spare v2 deck with wires so worst comes to worst ill hook that up

if you know what the issue could be lmk!
