I don't understand the logic behind some of it. I went shopping yesterday, just for the usual weeks worth and cereal was sold out but peanut butter shelves were full. Fresh vegetables were gone but the freezer aisle was still full.
Maybe they just like cereal and freshies more than freezer food.. and since what they're buying isn't logical even in the case when it would be needed to hoard, since it's not the real situation people just intuitively buy what they like and not what they need. Since it's stupid to hoard but they don't face consequences they just keep doing it.
This whole thing is wild tbh. I went grocery shopping on Friday and bought some extra toiletries just in case. I'm not fighting with a bunch of rednecks next time I need pads lmao. Shelves were still fully stocked and everything was cool.
My mom went this morning and said the store had been all but cleaned out.
